Part two of the special, this time with Momo!

After splashing my face with water in the bathroom and double checking to make sure my eyes weren't too red or puffy, I made my way over to the library. This time, I knew where I was going, because I remembered to look at the little plaques on the wall that had directional arrows pointing the way. I was hoping in the library I could get some peace and quiet with Yaoyorozu in a nice, temperate room (compared to my new home with no AC or heating besides the fireplace) Opening the doors was a severe disappointment. It was another a loud "hang-out place," but with books. At least, that's what it was today; hopefully it'll be quieter when school really kicks into full swing. Looking around, I saw Yaoyorozu sitting at a table near the back for about four or so people. Making my way over, I seemed to startle her a bit when I dropped my bag on the floor and plopped down in the seat across from her.

"So, you wanted to practice English?" I asked her.

"Yes, but more so with the conversational side. I'm afraid I don't know much in terms of slang or how differences in dialect," She explained, already looking kind of excited since the first words out of my mouth were in English.

"So, what dialect of English do you want to learn? I won't know everything from foreign countries, be warned, but I do know a decent amount of common slang."

"Whatever is easiest for you works for me," She said as she got out a notebook and a pencil to start taking notes.

"Hmm, where to start... Well, for one thing, people almost never say 'whom.' We tend to always use 'who,' so do not worry about when it is the right time to say either of those when speaking. Just stick with 'who' if you are ever unsure. Also, it is perfectly okay to speak broken English; people will still understand what you are saying for the most part, unless your accent is too strong," I explained, about to prop my legs up on the table but stopped myself when I remembered I was wearing a skirt. I settled for just leaning back in my chair. "I suppose the easiest way to teach you is by speaking in conversation. Immersion and all that. So, how about we start with just a basic conversation, and then get more advanced from there? That way, if you are ever struggling with something, I can help you or point out your mistakes."

"That sounds perfect!" I swear I could see sparkles in her eyes. "Where do we begin?"

"As basic as you can get. There are two things that you learn how to say first in a foreign language class: 'What's your name? My name is,' then you say your name, and 'How are you today?' So, let's start there." I cleared my throat before speaking in English. "Hi, my name's (a/n). What's your name?"

"I'm Yaoyorozu Momo," she replied. I stopped her there.

"In English, we introduce ourselves in the order: first name, last name," I pointed out.

"Ah, yes, I knew that, sorry, I'm Momo Yaoyorozu. It is nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too, Momo, sorry, I know you don't use first names in Japan, but we do in (c/n)."

"No, no, please. Call me Momo."

"Alright, well, how are you today, Momo?"

"I am well, and you?"

"I'm also doing pretty well. So, what've you been up to?"
