Fluffy Confession (Ft. Lucy)

Context behind this one, was Natsu had a crush when he was a kid (I jokingly decided it would be Gray) and Lucy was trying to find out about it.

☆ She squealed. "Awww~! You like Gray!"

✖ "I WAS LIKE TEN!"

☆ "So you did like him!"

✖ "It was only a little crush." Happy supplied. Natsu just gave him a betrayed look. Happy was supposed to be the only one who knew about that.

☆ Lucy patted Natsu on the shoulder. "Don't worry. I won't tell anyone~!" She said before adding a condition with a smirk, "On one condition! You have to tell me who you like now!"

✖ Natsu frowned, for a moment. He trusted her word, but still it was a major embarrassment just to have /her/ know that. "You really wanna know who I like?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at her in question.

☆ She nodded. "Of course! Now tell meeeee~!"

✖ "I thought it was obvious though." he said bluntly, biting the inside of his cheek. "It's you."

☆ "Huh?" She said, thinking she had heard wrong. "Wh.. what'd you say?"

✖ Natsu shook his head at her and chuckled, ignoring the question. "Who do you like, Lucy?"

☆ She didn't answer, as Natsu's previous answer processed in her mind, which only made her skin turn tomato-color.

✖ Natsu tilted his head in confusion. "Uh... Lucy?"

        "Who do you like?" Happy parrotted.

☆ "I.. N.. I.." She stuttered, not being able to speak, her face getting redder and redder - if that was even possible by now.

✖ Natsu leaned forward and frowned. "Um... Lu? I didnt mean to embarrass ya..." he said with a concerned look in his eyes.

☆ She leaned away from him. "Y.. Y.. You didn't embarrass me... You just.. surprised me..."

✖ "Well are you gonna tell us who you liiiiiiiiiike?" Happy asked. Natsu straightened, giving Lucy the space she seemed to want.

☆ She backed away from Natsu and Happy and looked down at the ground, still blushing. She mumbled something under her breath, hoping Natsu and Happy wouldn't hear it.

✖ Natsu turned his ear towards her. "You're gonna hafta speak louder, Lucy." he suggested.

☆ "I like.." She mumbled the name again, still not looking at Natsu or Happy.

✖ Both of them leaved forward eagerly.

☆ "I like Natsu, ok?!" She nearly yelled, not looking at either of them.

✖ "Knew it..." Happy chimed.

        Natsu smiled widely, and jumped at Lucy, pretty much tackling her. "That's great!" he shouted, as they landed on the ground with a loud thump, his arms on her back taking most of the force. He chuckled giddily.

☆ Lucy's eyes widened as Natsu tackled her before smiling widely. "Yeah."

✖ Natsu rolled off of her, still grinning wildly. "So I guess we do liiiiiiiiike each other." he teased.

☆ She blushed with a sheepish smile. "Yeah. I guess we do."

✖ Natsu nodded enthusiastically. "I'm still here, you know." Happy muttered, standing between them so that he was above both of them.

☆ "We know, Happy." Lucy said before turning to Natsu again. "But.. where are we now? If you know what I mean.."

✖ Natsu thought on that for a moment. "Well... I guess this means we aren't just friends anymore." he said. "Right?"

        To be honest, he had never really liked anyone who liked him back. The next step wasn't something he knew too much about.

☆ "Mhm." She nodded with a smile. "Guess so."

✖ "Are we boyfriend and girlfriend, then?" he asked curiously. She may not have been in a relationship before, but surely she had read enough gossip in mage magaines to know /something/.

☆ "Yup." She replied. "Yes, we are."

✖ "I like the sound of that." Natsu said, giving her a beaming smile. "What do you think /girlfriend/?"

☆ "I think it sounds good." Lucy beamed back at him.

✖ Natsu gave her a mock-scrutinizing look. "You were meant to say 'it sounds good, /boyfriend/."

        At this point Happy was finding more entertainment in the books on Lucy's shelf. He was completely uninterested in their antics.

☆ She laughed. "Fine. It sounds good, /boyfriend/."
