Being An Immortal

Chapter 2

My eyes rest on two protectors sitting infront of me. One is a midnight black panther with the most mesmerizing eyes. They are golden which definitely contrasts its dark fur. It is truly beautiful to say the least. The other is a solid white direwolf with deep red eyes. They both are patiently sitting infront of me assessing me. Usually i would scared as hell if i was ever infront of a creature like them. As I look inbetween them both I feel something inside of my brain pushing. It is like a slight buzz ringing. Then I hear a voice and my eyes land on the panther. "Hello. My name is Mirishka little one." No amount of studying or preparing for a moment like this will actually make you realize how slightly terrifying this is currently making me feel. I know I tried to prepare myself for this moment but it unlike anything I was imagining. I feel my soul being tied to both of my predators. It is a wonderful feeling that I can't begin to decribe how it feels. "Hi Mirishka.", I say to my feline protector. I feel my head buzz again with a contection. The wolf stares at me while I hear, "Looks like the best always gets saved for last. I am Celeste."

"It is nice to finally meet you both.", I giggle while I tell them. "I am sorry I am was not prepared fully for that especially for the both of you. It is definitely wonderful to have two protectors though. I guess I am just confused at the moment." I could tell I was babbling alot. I mentally slap myself extremely hard.

"It is quite alright. No one is ever fully prepared for this moment. You are truly blessed my Selene little one. She blessed you with the two of us.", Mirishka says. It is definitely a eerie feeling having an internal dialogue going on within your head with two different beings.

"Mirshiska is correct. Selene must have something prepared for you. It is rare to just get one protector but two is phenomenal. We are not complaining but it is extremely uncommon for her to do so.", Celeste tells me. I just stare at them both as it starts to fully sink in. I start to feel a little queasy as I begin to realize that I have two protectors. I have never heard of anyone in our history of Immortals having two protectors besides the original Immortals. "Come on dearie. Now that we have made the connection we must leave. We do not want to over stay our welcome here.", says Celeste.

"Follow me little one.", Mirishka instructs me. I watch as she starts to saunter down the path that leads through the tunnels out. I feel Celeste trailing behind me. Mirishka goes through the tunnel with such ease. I am still in shock over having two protectors. I begin to feel a bit faint as though I am dreaming at the moment.

I feel Celeste in my head, "Vivian hop onto my back. You look a little queasy girl. I know this is alot to take in. We both have you dearie. You dont need to worry."

"Celeste is right, little one.", Mirishka says as she stops up ahead. I slowly nod my head. Celeste lowers herself to the path where her belly is touching beside me. I know she is doing this so it will be easier to get on her back but even then it is still a tad but difficult. When she stands fully she is the same height as I am. I move my hands along her neck as I grab her fur. I hop twice on my feet and leap over while lifting my right leg over. I feel like I'm not going to make it but i use my arms to pull myself the rest of the way so now that I am sitting upright on her back. I can't help but run my hands through her white fur. It is so soft. It reminds me of those fuzzy throw blankets. It is fuzzy and thick yet soft as a feather.

"Dearie, make sure you hold on tight.", Celeste informs me. I grab fistfuls of her fur but not to tight so it would hurt as I cling onto her while we continue on our trek through the tunnel of the cave. We keep going for a few more minutes when I see light at the end of the cave. We exit the cave into the sunlight of the trees. I cant help but marvel at the sight of these two protectors I have been gifted with. Mirishka's black coat looks radiant. You can tell it is slick but also tough. As she walks up ahead you can see her muscles move with ever step as her tail sways along with her. Her steps are filled with such grace. It's unlike any feline I have ever seen before. Celeste is like the opposite of Mirishka. Her's are filled with pride. You can just tell. She carries herself with her head held high as she is on alert for anything that may come our way. I can already tell they are both opposites that are made to protect one another. They were made as a pair. I can just feel it. I see Mirshiska stop as she steps out of the treeline. Celeste keeps waltzing up until she breaks the treeline right beside Mirishka. I feels my eyes start to adjust to the sunlight when I look for my brother. I see him standing in front of his car with a look of shock on his face. I start to smirk as i raise my hand and give a slight wave at him.
