Kikumaru (Prince of Tennis)

*Beach Date*

"Morning (Y/N)-nyan." I heard a familiar voice greeted me.

I look up from the book that I was reading and saw Eiji standing in front of me. He is smiling brightly and he seems energetic as usual. By the way, we are currently at the park since we agreed to meet here today for some reasons.

"Morning." I greeted back with a hint of laziness in it.

"Ah, you look gloomy (Y/N)-chan... something's wrong?" He asked. I shook my head as a response to his question and turn my attention back to the book on my hand.

"Hmm but you don't look fine to me." He said, as he place his index finger under his chin and leaned forward to examine my face.

I backed up a little because of too much closeness between our faces. My face is starting to heat up as he continue to stare at me.

"I... I'm fine Eiji! There's nothing to worry about me." I told him while averting my eyes on him. I really can't stand to make eye contact with him for such a long time, it made me blush every single time.

"Okay, if you say so. Anyway, let's go now (Y/N)-chan or we're going to be late." He exclaimed, then he grabbed my right hand and dragged me off to somewhere.

"Where are you really planning to take me today, Eiji? You suddenly asked me out on a date and yet you didn't want yo tell me where we're going." I said as I tried my best to keep up with him since he's walking too fast.

"I told you (Y/N)-chan, it's a S-E-C-R-E-T." He replied with a wink.

Haaahhhh... This guy is really unpredictable, I really don't know how I became friends with him. The two us are very opposite and yet the first time we meet, we already clicked.

And then, out of nowhere he asked me out on a date... or should I say FORCED me to. He said that if I don't go out with him, he won't talk to me anymore and since I don't want that to happen, I just obliged on his request. Although, there's a part of me that really want to date him.

To be honest, ever since the first time that Eiji and I met, something about him already piqued my interest and day by day that simple interest turned into something more.

"Tsk, your always like that, keeping secrets away from me." I complained. He didn't answer back, however, I can feel him interlaced his fingers with mine. I look down on our intertwined hands and somehow in that very moment, I realized that our hands was perfectly fit for each other.

I blush at the thought of that and  failed to notice that Eiji is gazing intently at me with a smile.

*Time Skip*

"Thanks for the ride Mister." Eiji said to the bus driver and he returned it with a smile.

Yup, after those endless walking, Eiji and I stop on a bus terminal and ride a bus. Then several minutes later, we stop on a beach.

Eiji led me on a bench near the shore. He made me sit on the bench and then he crouched in front of me.

"Eiji... why did you bring me here?" I asked him. I tried to look at him in the eyes but failed, so I just stared on the sand instead.

"Well you see uhm... this past few days I noticed that (Y/N)-chan is always upset and gloomy, so I thought that maybe taking you to the beach will cheer you up even just for a little bit." He explained.

"Why did you think that bringing me here would cheer me up?"

"Heh... didn't you like to go to beach?" He asked while pouting. My heart skipped a beat in that little gesture of his.

"Did I?" He pouted even more with my teasing.

This time I really couldn't contain myself anymore, I burst out laughing in front of him. I clutched my stomach and tilted my head downward and continue to roar in fits of laughter. Eiji look at me with a shocked expression on his face. His eyes are wide and his mouth is hanging widely open. A few drop of tears escaped my eyes because of laughing too much.

"(Y/N)-chan?" Eiji called out. I only look at him, and then focusing my attention on suppressing my laughter again.

Few minutes later, I finally managed to calm myself although a wide smile was still plastered on my face.

"Thank you... Eiji!" I said as I reached out to grabbed both of his hand and squeezed it lightly.

"For what?" He confusedly asked.
"For being there for me whenever I need someone. Without you I don't know if I can endure all the trials in my life, Eiji is my Savior." My eyes soften at the sight in front of me.

Eiji is crying. He's crying and yet there's a huge smile on his face.

"Your welcome (Y/N)-chan." He leaned forward and pressed a kiss on my forehead and at the same time I hook my arms around his neck to give him a hug.

And just like that, we spend the day playing on the beach like little kids.

If you can't be a PENCIL to write someone's happiness, then try to be a nice ERASER to erase their sadness.

A/N: Oh my gossshhhh! Eiji is so cuuutteeeee... Haha right now, he is my favorite character from Prince of Tennis. He's always so cheerful and funny, and he's good at playing too. With Oishi beside him, the two of them are the best Golden Pair ever! Anyway, enough is enough haha I'm turning into a fangirl again. So that's all for now, ENJOY 🐱
