It was morning time. "I hope you feel better when we get back from school sis," said Sting. If you didn't know, Sting and Erza became like brother and sister over her stay. "Thanks," Erza groaned, face down into the pillow. "Oh and, if a teacher asks why I didn't come to school, tell them I have strep throat," Erza looked up at him. "Yeah, I definitely won't tell them you stayed up drinking Chardonnay with Jellal," Sting teased with a smirk written across his face. "You are the worst," Erza chuckled. "I was talking to Sorano the other day and she said you guys are like a Wattpad story," Sting laughed.
"Don't forget to tell her not to get caught up in that love triangle," Erza joked. "I won't," Sting said as he made his leave. Then by her doorway, Jellal came. "You alright Chardonnay princess?" Jellal smirked. "Shut up!" Erza threw a pillow aiming for Jellal's head, though Jellal dodged it. "If you need anything from me when I get back just text ahead of time, kay?" Jellal faintly grinned. "Kay," Erza groaned.
"Bye Lasso!" Jellal pet the dogs fur before leaving out with Sting and Rogue. The three got into Jellal's car and made their way to school. "So, you alright bro?" Sting asked from the backseat. "Yeah, why?" Jellal asked. "We know you're lying, it's written all over your face," Rogue pointed out in the passenger seat. "Look, I promise, I'm fine," Jellal lied, trying to cover up with an enterprising attitude. He knew he was lying. It felt weird to not have that peppy, cheery energy lingering around him. He did miss those sassy comebacks and snarky comments.

Erza was lying in bed. She looked at a rainbow bright bag that had the edge of a picture frame poking out. She was so bored, she didn't know what to do. When curiosity and boredom took its course, Erza crawled over to the bag, pulling whatever picture was in it out. What she saw almost brought tears to her amber brown eyes. It was little her, her mom, and her cousin, Loke. She was likely to be 8 years old in the picture. She remembered the events like it was yesterday. She had on a panda t-shirt on with some blue jeans.Flashback
"Loke, what are you doing?" Erza asked her cousin. "Playing with Carmichael," Loke replied. "Whose Carmichael?" Erza asked curiously. "This black cat I found," Loke explained. "You can't just name a cat that isn't yours whatever you want to," Erza giggled. "It don't have a collar," Loke pointed out. "I guess. Well, ya gonna keep it?" Questioned Erza. "That's if mom'll let me," Loke picked up the black kitten. "Carmichael. That's cute," Erza smiled.

There was another picture in the bag. It was of her and her first real best friend. She was 12 years old in the picture.Flashback
"What're you in here for?" A girl with green hair asked. It all started in detention, mind you. "Why do you wanna know?" Erza asked in a snarky tone. "Look, I'm just trying to make a friend," the green haired girl said as she took a seat. "What a way to make friends without knowing your name," Erza said as she chewed on her bubblegum. "The names Bisca, who're you?" The girl asked. "Erza, Erza Scarlet," Erza gave a cocky smile. She remembered when her mother always told her about that snarky attitude. "Skipping class," Bisca informed, "fist fight," Erza said. "I like you," Bisca smirked. "You too," Erza grinned cockily.
...
Erza smiled at the picture that had 12 year old Erza and Bisca on Halloween. Erza was Buzz Lightyear and Bisca was Woody. Erza had on Buzz Lightyear's top with a purple tutu on and Bisca had on the regular button up and vest with a navy blue skirt and cowboy boots. She remembered all the candy they received that night. It was enough to fill a duffel bag. These memories are what make Erza, Erza.

"Hey, Jellal, you alright?" Meredy asked, sitting beside him in science class as her, Jellal, and Erik worked on their project. "He's probably still missing Erza," Erik smirked. Jellal ignored the babbling two. He was writing something down. Today he noticed how boring and dull a day without Erza was and he realized how boring and dull life would be if he hadn't met Erza. Everything in Jellal's life, Erza added a spark to it. Erza did something that not just anyone could do to him. And he realized that.Today was the day, Jellal finally felt alone. He skimmed over what he wrote on the notepad. "Jellal, I'm worried, for real. Ya good?" Meredy asked with concern filling her voice. "Yeah, yeah. I'm fine," Jellal said paying little attention to giving a real answer.

He pulled up at home. Rogue decided to go and get coffee with Kagura and Sting went to help Yukino adopt a new pet. He hopped out the car feeling exhausted after such a dull day. He entered the house and went to Erza's room. He found her sleeping peacefully. Little snores escaped her lips. It soothed Jellal. He shut the door, allowing her to rest and decided to go into a slumber himself. He went downstairs and flopped on his couch, taking a look at his notepad.Light of my life. Fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Erza.
