7 Years Later
"Hey honey, what do you want from the diner?" She asked over the phone. I took my time to think about what I wanted for dinner as I typed out a form for my new employees. "I think I'll have..spaghetti," I told her. "Okay, I'll be home in a few, love you," and before I could reply, she hung up. She must be having a bad day at work. Kids can be a handful. She's a teacher now. I'm taking over my fathers business at Fernandes Enterprise. As I finished typing everything, I clicked back and returned to my home screen.
My beautiful, gorgeous home screen. On my home screen was my wife of 1 year now. Her scarlet hair ran across her face, bangs perfectly swooped across her forehead. I grinned. Erza Fernandes. Her first name and my last name together, sounded magical. We finished college together and finally went out separate ways. She a kindergarten teacher and I a businessman.
I love her with all my heart. We live together in a busy, city area. We always dreamed of living in a quiet, rural area but our careers said otherwise. I shut my laptop and got up to my feet. I made my way to the kitchen and grabbed a green apple. Somedays, I work at home, and others, I head up to the workplace. I slid my hand through my messy hair as the hot air hit my shirtless body.
So many new members were recruited last week I have to print and type out new code of conduct sheets. We recruited Lyon Vastia, Alzack Connell, Dan Straight, Hibiki Lates, Orga Nanagear, and with a lot of pity convincing from Erza, Sho. Apparently, Sho was like a little brother to Erza. Which made me feel better about letting him join Fernandes Enterprise.
As I took a big chomp out of my apple, which could be considered breakfast, or lunch, but considering the time of night, dinner. I hadn't ate anything all day, so when I got that call about dinner, boy was I happy.
I tossed the apple core into the trash and plopped on the couch. I was tired from staring at a bright screen from the time I woke up. My eyes slowly started to close. I began dozing off. Though, half way into my slumber, I heard a key jingle from outside the door.
"Jellal sweetie, I'm home."
