I remember a life i used to live
I remember a laugh, a smile that sent rays of sunshine through me as if the only light I needed was the one that came from inside you and I remember that life that had times filled with rainbows across the sky and butterflies in our stomach
like we were living in one of those fairytales they told us about when we were kids except we were thinking, dreaming we'd end up happy until you started reading the last chapter called "it's all in your head" and now all thats left is our initials in a heart forever immortalized with all the other untold stories written in bathroom stalls with kisses in the same spots now tainted with scars that time won't heal and someone else's love can't help disappear
now im left here alone to weather these storms with the rainbows after only leave me thinking if you're on the other end with someone else or me on your mind and sitting here under cloudy skies i'm writing about you wondering if it's greener on your side
and i can't help but reminisce
about a life i used to live
