Phil's POV

I woke up facing Dan. I looked at the clock and noticed that it was nine in the morning.

"I better wake dan up" i thought to myself. So i gently shook his shoulder. He soon opened his eyes.

"Five more minutes" He groaned like your average teenager. Which i smiled at.

"Dan get up. I have an idea for what to do today" i said

"No...Sleep" He said and rolled over.

"Dan, no you need to get up" So he sat up and stayed there. I decided to kiss his cheek, which was a normal thing for me to do. I am straight, my friends are used to me acting strange. But he blushed and tried to cover it up by stretching.

"come on. My plans are to get Chris and P.J. Then go to yours so that you can get changed. Then we all can go into Town" i smiled at him "And that i could stay at yours if you like?"

"I would love that" he smiled. And looked at me.

"Well come on then, we can play questions when we pick them up"

"Ok"

So we left and picked up Chris and P.J and just like i said. We started playing questions.

"So Dan, do you have a girlfriend?" P.J asked him

"I'm gay" He mumbled and looked down. And i smiled

"Boyfriend then?" Chris asked. Dan looked shocked at this question. I guess he wasn't expecting to be asked that.

"No" He quickly said

"What? You're good looking. Anyone would be lucky to with you" Chris nearly shouted which made Dan upset. Was this why he kept on getting into fights?

"No they wouldn't" He whispered

"Leave it boys" I sighed.

"ok, so favorite animal?" P.J asked. Changing the subject

"Llama" Dan smiled

"Llama?" Chris questioned

"Yeah, they are awesome" He laughed

"Lions are better" I laughed

"No" Dan said

"yes" i replied. This went on for about a hour. Well until we decided that they were both awesome.

We eventually arrived at Dan's house Chris and P.J waited outside while i went inside with Dan. We got about half way up the stairs when his dad appeared.

"What took you so long? And who is he?" His dad spat.

"He's a mate and i stayed at his last night because he was worried" Dan replied.

"Whatever. And i need to speak to you without him about" he said. Dan nodded and took me upstairs into his room.

"What does he mean by 'talk'" i asked

"Its an excuse" he shrugged

"An excuse for what?"

"What do you think?" He sighed.

"I'm comming down with you. He can't do that to you" i nearly shouted

"No, he'll flip. Its fine, just stay up here. I'll be right back" He sighed and went down stairs. After i heard him open the living room door, i heard an impact of a punch. I flinched at the sound as Dan came back up stairs.

"Let me get changed, then we can go"

"Let me sort your cheek" i said as i grabbed his wrist. He nodded and lead me to the bathroom. I wiped his cheek with cold water and looked for any other damage.

"He can't keep doing this to you" i sighed

"There's nothing else i can do. Now let me get changed" he said. Once he was changed we went outside to get Chris and P.J

"Oh christ. What happened to your cheek?" P.J asked Dan.

"His Dad." i replied for him and he seemed glad of that.

"The Bastard" Chris spat. Dan smiled and lead the way into Town. We got to Meadow Place and sat down. We all talked for a bit until a group of what looked like Pricks and Twats and a girl came into the area. The girl strangely enkugh came over to us.

"Do you know her? I whispered to Dan

"Yeah, She kind of talks to me when she isn't with them" Be whispered back. Just as they turned to leave the girl started running towards us. Dan stood up and hugged her. He smiled as they separated.

"This is Reckless" He introduced her.

"Hi" She said and waved at us.

"Hey" I said and waved back.

"Anyway. I need to go before they get pissed off" she said and ran back to her friends

"Ok" Dan sighed. I guess he doesn't have any friends. I don't understand why.

We began walking until we reach the train station. Chris and P.J went home and me and Dan went back to his. But some random lad who looked around Dan's age spotted us and walked over.

"Awwwww, has the little fag got a boyfriend? It won't last long. You're enough to make anyone run a mile" The boy laughed at Dan, while he looked at the ground. I wanted to yell at the boy but something told me not to. Within five minutes Dan was pushed to the ground and into a pile of glass. I filped and punched the boy. I then grabbed Dan and dragged him around the corner.

"Are you ok?" i asked him

"No" he panted. He was as white as a sheet. And i noticed that his leg was bleeding as well as his hands.

"Lets get you home and cleaned up" i said and picked him up. He tried to get free but eventually gave up. We got to house in about ten minutes. And once we were up stairs i sat him down in the bath room and cleaned his leg and hands up. Luckily there wasn't any glass in the cuts.

" Phil, you need to go. I'm fine" Dan said.

"I can't. I'm staying here remember" i smiled at him.

"Phil, please" He pleaded.

"No" i smiled. He looked down as i sat on the floor and looked at him.

"What's your biggest fear?" I asked him, as i got and help him into his room.

" I have two" he sighed as he got into his bed.

"Go on" i said as i got in next to him.

"One is losing the people who care about me and i'd rather not say the other one"

"Please tell me" i pleaded

"Thunder" he said

"Thunder?" i asked

"Yes, What are yours? He asked me.

"Mine is losing the people i care about" i said

"ok" he yawned.

"Can come into college with you and bring Chris and P.J with me. I want to make sure you are ok" i sighed and looked at him.

"Sure, it might actually give me a break" he yawned again. And with that we both fell asleep.

Awhile later i was woken up by someone whimpering and the sound of thunder. I looked over and saw Dan curled up and whimpering.

"Dan, come over here" i whispered to him. And he moved closer and curled up in my arms. The thunder continued and Dan whimpered.

"shhh, its ok. I'm here Dan. Just try and sleep" i said and rubbed small circles into his back. His continued for about a hour before we both fell asleep again.
