Camara's POV
The mall is the one place where I can actually say I belong. Online shopping is much easier but I love to go to the mall and just browse. All the cute boys, the cute clothes, and the cheap food that's bad for my body but I still buy it anyway.
"Yorba gave me an eighty seven on the essay. What is wrong with that man." Ivana said as she looked at her phone.
"Gave me a ninety two." Jocelyn proudly smiled which revealed the remains of her strawberry milkshake.
"Can we like not talk about grades right now. Shopping is so I relax and don't have to worry about that ugly thing called reality." I spoke before I stuffed a piece of my non-salted pretzel in my mouth. I haven't checked my grades in a while so I don't know what grade I got on the essay. To be honest, he can't grade it too high but he can't give me a low grade because I practically put my leg and arm into that thing.
"Holy shit, Amber is totally showing right now." Ivana pointed at Amber who was picking out a sweater in PINK.
"So, the rumor is declassified."
"Amber is really pregnant." Jocelyn gasped. "I didn't think she was actually clueless enough to get pregnant in high school."
"I heard she uses birth control and she still got pregnant."
"Ivana, how did she get pregnant if she uses birth control. I swear you always feed on to what the dumb people tell you. Sweetheart, they say those things for attention from people like us."
"Penelope told me though."
I rolled my eyes the hardest I've ever done it in my life, "I don't understand why you guys trust everything she says. Don't you think she lies sometimes? I mean no one is always completely honest."
"You lie to us, Camara?" Jocelyn asked softly.
"I lied when I told you that I liked that ugly yellow plaid skirt and I lied to Ivana when I told her that I liked her last boyfriend. He was a total dumbass and I'm happy you guys broke up."
"Wow," They both stared at me. "Thanks for being honest." They both walked off and went into a nearby store leaving me alone. Great.
