After a few moments of silence May spoke up.
"S-so what do we do?" her voices was kind of quite but was loud enough for us to hear her.
"We should do what he said" I said as I slowly got up with Derek. Her and Anthony faced me. I held my left arm with my right hand tightly.
"Like he said. If we're being watched we cant start acting different. After school tomorrow we should head back here" Anthony sighed.
"I need a drink" Derek glared at his brother before chuckling.
"I may need one too" he said rubbing his forehead. I glanced around before seeing something that caught my eye, kind of like with the wall. I could see the outline of a doorway. I walked over May was the only one who saw.
Derek and Anthony started talking about a plan for tomorrow. I started feeling the door and found the place the door nob would be. I broke threw the paint well slipped threw. I pushed the door open and right away cob webs fell down on me and dust started swirling around me. The stairs and wall's were completely different.
They were stone there was one dangling flimsy light that barely light up the stair case. A chill went down my spine but my legs started moving on their own. I walked down and the second my foot collided with the stone my hole body tensed up. It felt like I walked into Antarctica or Canada witch ever one is colder.
'Well now I'm happy I wore a hoodie...' I slowly made my way down the steps. And was soon at the bottom. The room felt colder and eerie. My body seemed to freeze up. But of course I freeze up now and not at the top of the stairs. I forced my self to move and wished I didn't. When I turned the corner I saw the basement.
It was small it could probably hold Derek, Anthony, May, Me and maybe two other people. The stone walls had mold covering the bottom of the walls and the dim lighting was horrible and made everything more terrifying. But the old man's dead body lying in front of me made my legs give out and I couldn't tare my eyes away from him. His skin was a leathery gray.
His eyes looked like they were sinking in and the veins were popping out. Dry hard blood was painted all over his chin and white shirt that was now an ugly gray with dry clots of blood on his stomach. He was slouched over so I couldn't tell parts of his skin was missing. You could see the muscle and veins popping out or missing, it looked like a scene from the walking dead.
I wanted to scream. I wanted to run up the stairs slam the door shut and run away. But my body refused to move. The tears started building in my eyes making the body look like it was about to move. The tears broke free and decorated my face. I felt like I couldn't breath my lungs started clenching tightly. Air was barely getting into my lungs
"where's Julia?" I heard Derek's voices. I wanted to scream but my voices was caught in my throat. Derek saw the basement door open and once he saw me he came rushing down.
"JULIA!" he yelled and ran to my side and made me face him. But the old man's face was glued into my mind for a few seconds I thought Derek was the old man. My instincts kicked in. I shoved him off of me and he crashed into the steps. I slammed my self into the wall slamming my head. It started pounding. I imminently held the place I hit the wall. Derek pushed him self off the steps and grabbed my shoulder's.
"Julia!, Look at me!" he snapped and cup my checks trying to get me to look him in the eyes. The second I did my hole body calmed down. But the tears didn't stop rolling down my checks. The stinging pain went unnoticed, he gently started rubbing my hair knowing it calmed me down.
"What happened?" he asked my eyes slowly glanced over to the bead body lying before us. Derek followed my line of sight the second he saw it. He covered my head and pushed it into his shoulder. I could hear his heart speeding up
"Derek what happened?" Anthony asked. Derek just shocked his head and slowly stood up. His legs shaking and my hole body was pretty much just dead weight. Derek's arms were tightly wrapped around me. He basically had to drag me up the steps. Anthony moved out of the way and flinched when he saw me. Derek placed me in the corner of the room and May looked concerned she sat down next to me.
"Ca-can we please go home?" I begged my voices becoming horsey and the stinging pain was becoming gradually worse. Derek nodded kindly and helped me up
"what happened?" May whispered as she walked over to Anthony who was staring at the basement, but knew by our reaction to not ask or go down there. Anthony just shut the door and glanced at us as we walked out.
"I don't know let's just leave her alone ok?" May nodded. Derek carefully walked over the door. The cold wind hit my skin making me shudder hard. Derek rubbed my arm
"I'm sorry..." he whispered into my head but soon the sound of the chirping birds stopped. We all glanced around it was dead quite. You could hear nothing, no cars, birds, people, nothing not even the wind blowing.
"What now?" Anthony growled but within seconds of him saying that you could hear ticking, like the sound of a clock. The guy's eyes widen as they grabbed mine and May's wrist and started running forwards as if their lives depended on it.
Me and May were running behind them nearly falling before a loud bang rang threw the air. A strong gust of wind slammed us onto the ground. The guys hurried to cover us as heat swam over us like someone was holding a flame thrower over your body. I could hear Derek grunting as the flames danced over him my eyes were glued onto his face.
Orange and red danced on his face as the flames danced in his eyes. Fear made my hole body lock up but for a split second my arms wrapped around his left arm witch was the one not blocking me. My thoughts were consumed with nothing but.
'PLEASE LET DEREK MAY AND ANTHONY ME OK!'
