Tessa.
Beep!beep!beep! I stretched to my alarm hitting it to stop the beep. It's Monday morning. Another boring Monday morning, same thing happening .. I laid on my bed staring at the ceiling Before shutting my eyes to say a prayer.. I stood up walking towards my closet, running my hands through my clothes.. I had lots of clothes, more of skirts, few trousers which I hardly wear cause I don't think they fit me. I picked a long ash skirt and a black body con long sleeved top.. I think my mode of dressing is the reason why most people call me what they call me ...

I placed the clothes on my bed, packed my books into my favorite Jerusalem bag dad bought for me when he went on pilgrim. I had washed my hair last night, so taking a bath today wouldn't waste much time.. I stepped into the bathroom, took my bath, dressed up, and headed downstairs. Mum was in the kitchen cooking up breakfast.

My mum and I looked alike just that am pale.. she's a redhead like me. Tall, slim, bulgy eyes, a perfect pointed nose and a pink lips which I really admire a lot... I walked towards her wrapping my hands from behind her as I pecked her.

"Morning Mum"

"Morning my sunshine!"

"So what's for breakfast" I asked as I tried peeping into the pan to see the bacon.

"Bacon and egg. Your favourite" she replied as she dished mine and I got settled on the dining table.

"Where's dad" I asked as I scanned through the house

"He got an urgent call from the hospital."
Her words made me more pale.

Mum could see my reaction, I looked worried but calm.

"It's okay sunshine.. it's nothing serious. The doctor called about your test results and.."

"Am dying yeah!" I asked interrupting her , tearing gathering In my eyes.

Mum reached for my hands which were now cold, I was tensed. whenever dad gets an urgent call from the hospital, it doesn't end well.

"Common Tessa, what has been the motto of this house" mum asked as she runned her hands over mine suppressing the coldness of my hands with the warmth that emitted her hands.

I couldn't control the tears as the came down. Trying to speak but my voice cracked "have faith and you will definitely pull through"

"Good sunshine.. can you now personalise it" mum said as she let go of her hands and then wiping of the tears. I gave a nod as I tried clearing my throat before speaking again but sounding more confident.

"Have faith Tessa Philips, and you would definitely pull through."

"That's it baby! You are going to be okay!" Mum said as she pulled me in for a hug and then kissing my forehead.

"I love you Tessa, your dad loves you too! And Sarah loves you.. and we are all here for you.. cause we know you are definitely going to pull through."

"I love you too mum!"

"Now who's mummy's girl" mum said as she pinched my cheeks lightly, giving off a smile trying to hide the tears in her eyes..

"Tessa is and no one else" I replied.

"Now eat up, you don't want to be late!"

She said as she went towards the fridge bringing out a paper bag which I recognised.. that's where she kept my pills I do take  to school.

I quickly ate and then grabbing off the paper bag.

"Bye mum! Don't miss me much" I yelled as I left the house without waiting for a response.

Just as I got outside, Sarah was packed outside. Well she's been driving us both to school for like 2years, so we don't take the bus.. I drive but dad don't think it's safe. I reached for the passengers door and swung it open.. I sat and leaned in for a hug from Sarah before buckling up.

"How was your visitation yesterday" I asked Sarah ..

"You wouldn't want to know!urgh!!" She replied as she exclaimed before starting up the car and heading to school.

The drive to school was fun, it
Hs always been fun! Sarah told her depressing story of her visitation and then we sang to some couple of songs that played on the radio..

We got to school right on time. Quickly rushing to our locker which wasn't far from each other, grabbing some few stuffs and then headed to class.
The class was noisy as usual, some students throwing papers at each other, some girls gossiping, a couple making out at the back.. gross! And then Danny!. My heart skipped a little as I quickly looked away making sure he did not catch me staring at him..

I found my way to my seat and Sarah sitting beside me.. as I settled down placing my bag on the floor, I rested  my head on the desk.. I could hear Sarah as she talked to some people.

My mind drifted a little to Danny!. Everyone knows he was a bad kid, he was always in for trouble, always having a prank to pull. How could a good looking dude be all this for the devil.

I smiled a little as I remembered yesterday in the music room when he spoke to me, although our conversation was short.. it made me smile.

But my smile was brought to a stop when I thought it could be one of his prank or prolly a dare from his friends to talk to me. Why would the hottest and most popular guy in school talk to me , a pastors kid and the school mute.

Soon Mr Owen walked into the class, making everyone rush to their seats and then writing on the board laws of attraction. Mr Owen happens to be the physics teacher and he was really good at his job....

I really tried so hard concentrating on the topic, but I couldn't. I felt I was being stared at by someone.. I was loosing concentration and I was really praying the class would come to an end.

After about 15 minutes the bell rang off. Students standing up and heading for the next class . Chemistry! Which happens to be my favourite course... Danny was among the first to leave the class .. he did not say a word to me and I wasn't surprised...
