Danny
Weeks into our relationship, things went smooth.. her parents in support, my parents in support.. my step mom loves Tessa like she's her own.. we kept going to school together.. church together.. we went on more dates and I followed her for her check up....
I couldn't help but smile at the thought of her....
I picked up my phone and dialed her number...
"hello sunshine..did you miss me"
"hey baby" she said sounding happy and coughing harshly at the same time.
"hope you are okay .. I am sorry I haven't visited you in 2days and I promise to make it up to u... how about a visit to the beach.."
"awww baby it's good" I could hear her sigh over the phone.
"Babe are you okay? Have you taken your pills?" I asked almost panicking.
"Yea!! Am okay... I just feel slight pains at my joints and I find it hard
To breath and my hair keeps pulling out which is scary" I could hear her trying to breath...
"holy shit. Tessa! Have u gone to the hospital?? Don't worry am coming over now.. just hang on ... Where's your mum" I asked trying to be calm as possible and not thinking negative.
"Danny" she tried calling my name but she seems like she was going out of air...
"Babe!! Please calm down... try to breath in and out." I could hear her trying to do what I was telling her..
"That's good Tessa.. just keep doing that.. am on my way to your place.. please hold on"
"Okay babe" she replied but now her voice getting faint...I could hear her cough harder and harshly....
suddenly I heard a thump
"Tessa!!! Babe!!!!.. babe talk to me.." no response....
I could hear a voice screaming which sounded like that of mrs philips..
I quickly grabbed my car keys and wallet and headed to Tessa place ... on my way, I could hear the sound of ambulance.. my heart raced more when I was the ambulance leaving Tessa house ... I quickly packed carelessly and then running towards reverend Philip
"Where's Tessa" I screamed..
He held my hands and he shook his head..
"No!no!no!" I said as I tried fighting the tears in my eyes, running to my car and following the ambulance...
I got to the hospital and I found mrs philips.. I ran towards her and she hugged me, she kept crying.
"It's okay ma'am, I know she's gonna be okay."
We sat at the waiting room and after some minutes, reverend and some other people came in....
We all sat praying and hoping she gets better.... few hours the doctor came out
"Tessa's family" the doctor asked.
We all stood up and walked towards him..
" we have tried to stabilize her,but she's getting weak daily.. she seemed not to be responding to treatment"
"Meaning" I yelled interrupting the doctor
"We have to keep her on careful observation, and see what we can do"
"Please save my girl doctor.. she's all I got" mrs philips cried as she held the doctors hand..
"You can go see her now" the doctor said as he led us to her room..
Her mum and dad couldn't stay for long as her mum kept crying...
I sat close to her, holding her hands as tears dropped from my eyes... I kissed her hands slowly....
I held her hands for as long as I could..

1 week later
We all kept visiting the hospital daily hoping Tessa would regain consciousness, but it seemed it was in vain...
I walked to the little chapel in the church and sat on the bench... I couldn't control the tears...
I finally walked to the statue of Jesus and knelt in front of it..
"God, I know I have been bad, I have not remembered you in ages, I know Lost faith and trust in you... I know I have been bad and not been a good person... but not Tessa she's good. She loves you.. she deserves better..... please save her soul... I have lost 2 people already I can't and am not ready to loose another.... pleas God.. I promise to change.. just help my Tessa"
I felt a hand on my shoulder.. I wiped the tears off my eyes and turned around to see reverend philips with a smile on his face as he gave a nod
"She wants to see you"
I did not know when I pushed him aside and ran to her room... I opened the door and there was the love of my life ...
"Babe" I said in a low tone.. she stop looking out the widow and stared at me , I ran towards her, hugging her and then brushing my lips against mine..
"I have missed you Tessa!!"
"How are u Danny!"
"Am okay.. how do u feel"
"A little bit sore but okay... you look a mess Danny!"
"I know" I said as I ran my hand into my messy hair...

"Prom is in 4 days Danny" Tessa said as she sat on the hospital bed..
"Am taking you for prom babe"
"You know I can't leave"
"Then we would have our own prom here! Just me and you Tessa" I said as I kissed her forehead..
"What's Mr Chris saying about our project Work"
"Common Tessa!! I would handle that"
She smiled a little which made my heart warm.
"I really thought i was gonna loose you." I said as I sat beside her and reaching for her cheeks
"I lost my mum and my brother!!! I was really sacred I was gonna loose you too... you know I prayed always for u" I continued as I tried fighting the tears but it was in vain as it dropped on my jean...
She reached for my face , wiping off the tears
"It's okay Danny!! Am here.. and not going anywhere and that's all that matters"
"You know Tess! You really changed me...and am happy I found you and I have you in my life"
"I love you Danny!"
"I love you too babe.. and I promise you, we are gonna get through this.." I said as I hugged her..
We spoke about different things which made her laugh.. I showed her some photos of her I took when she was unconscious and how cute she looked...
"It's past 9 Danny" she said as she looked at the clock hanging on the wall...
"Don't worry babe!! Am sleeping over"
Just as I finished speaking the nurse came in with her pills which she took and in no time she started dozing off ... I adjusted myself on the bed wrapping my arms over her,and kissing her hair
"Night babe!"
"Night Danny" she murmured as she slept off
