Me and Jenna enter the ballroom. I wore a black cat mask with a completely black suit.
Jenna wore a matching mask; a completely black cat mask. She wore a large black gown. It was tight at her torso, but then loosened up.  She also wore black heels, but it's not like anyone could see it under her dress.

Her blonde hair contrasted greatly with her gloomy style, so I'm guessing it's the same with me since we are twins.

"Ah! It seems my princess has arrived with my prince," Dad smiles, starting over to us. To be honest, I really don't want to be here. I'm not in the mood for putting on a smile and talking to the guests and shit.

But I guess moods don't matter at work, so whatever!

"Yes, hello," I smile. Aunt is wearing a tight purple dress with a bunny mask and boss' wearing a purple suit with a fox mask.

His eyes look down at mine, I'm guessing he's looking for some kind of hint at how I'm feeling. I stare back.

I analyze his emotionless auburn eyes, until Jenna's grip on my arm tightens. She's basically clinging with me in our locked arms.

"..Jenna, would you like to dance?" I ask, still staring at boss. He judgingly humphs And turns around, Aunt following next to him. But she turns around and flashes me a smile, and I half heartedly wave.

I hold out my hand to Jenna and she takes it, my other hand going around her waist as we start to waltz.

I think we look pretty depressing; wearing all black, her eyes closed as she looks at my chest and my eyes at her hair. We don't say anything, both sulking in our own problems.

At times, I like being with Jen. She's usually lively and vivid around her friends, but when it comes to each other we're free to cry if we need to cry. When we were kids, she was glued to my side and I was fine with it. In high school, she still stayed by me but went on to make a few friends. In college, we were engulfed by our studies, so we kind of stopped talking.

"...how was your trip?" I ask slowly, choosing my words as I say it.

"Entertaining. How is your life?" She asks, her voice quiet.

I pull her closer, tired of staying gloomy, "It's something. Did you miss me on your trip?"

She chuckles, smiling, "Yeah. Why don't we go out later? We can split work and stuff,"

And just like that, the gloom is gone. I smile back, "I'm down. Work is hard,"

"How hard? Like, lava or igneous hard?" Jenna asks.

I do a quick spin, "Uhm...magma,"

"Ah yes, Magma. Semi-molten rock. I see," She nods.

"Where'd your glasses go?" I ask. She usually wears huge, circular, blue glasses but now she's not wearing any.

"I just took them off and put on my contacts. My hazel ones so they don't mess up my eyes," She explains.

I nod, swaying slightly. Boss starts his speech, but I'm not really listening. I already know it, since he sent it to me to read over and fix anything that sounds stupid.

"Why don't we head to the beach after this? You seem like you have something on your mind," Jenna offers.

"Yeah, of course. Boss still owns that beach office, right?" I ask. Boss had a beach house that he used for office meetings and stuff. Me and Jenna used to sneak in and play around whenever he wasn't doing anything too busy. There was also a 'secret' area me and her found. I'm not sure if we can fit in there anymore, but we used to share secrets there and just do overall stupid crap.
