"We've arrived,"
I stretch and leave the car, Poppy following behind me. He walks in besides me, "Let's eat the cake before we do anything,"
I snicker, pulling off my tie and opening to door, "Wow, thirsty much?"
"No! I'm just hungry," He slips off his heels and sits them by the door.
"We just ate. William, would you like a slice?" I offer as William walks in.
He runs a hand through his platinum hair, "No..I'm fine, thank you. I'll be doing the laundry, if you need me,"
He seriously works too hard. He should have a break. Maybe I'll give him breaks every two weeks? Yeah, he can have Saturday and Sunday off every other week.
Poppy leans on my shoulder as I grab a knife. I could feel his breath on my neck, but before I could say something, my phone rings.
I pick it up, holding it with one hand as I cut the cake, "Hell-"
Dammit- another language. Time to use my childhood studies to test,
And I hang up. What a nice conversation in Korean. I honest forgot about those skills, but, surprisingly, they're useful.
"You can speak Korean?" Poppy asks as I hand him a fork.
"I can speak many languages. Remember? I studied languages from first grad to senior year?" I raise an eyebrow.
It's weird he forgot since he pressured me into learning French, saying it's the most romantic language ever.
Though, I think English is the most romantic language, because there's so many ways to describe someone as beautiful.Poppy uses his fork to cut off half the cake and eat a piece, "I remember you almost failed sixth grade because of Russian."
"Why do you remember that and not the amazing speech I gave in fully russian?" I sigh, holding my head.
"I remember you came over to my house to help you study, and we watched movies and criticized the grammar," Poppy recalls, stuffing another forkful of cake in his mouth.
I'm glad he remembered that, since I did enjoy that sleepover and study session. It's thanks to him that I passed with all A's.
