✷ ✷ ✷ In the state of New York, a small suburban town off the Sweetwater River sits in all of its old-fashioned charm. The twin city of nearby Riverdale, Greendale boasts being a safe and wholesome town that anyone would want to raise their kids and grow old in. Riverdale, as it goes through a transition period of violence through new town government, many moved their families and lives over the river into the quiet town. The mining community sought to make sure all felt welcome and safe in their new homes, but many felt a shift in the atmosphere along the river.
At Baxter High School, four of Greendale's finest young people, gathered in a backyard pool house, founded the Mystery Incorporated Club, commonly known as Mystery Inc. They ran the school news, they tracked down leads for every new occurrence through the school halls, and sniffed out every answer (that sniffing was done literally by Shaggy's emotional support dog, Scooby).
The group had someone from every background of life in the group, rounding out the student life. Fred Jones, Soccer Star and All-American poster boy with a knack for technology. Velma Dinkley, Honor Roll scholar who's science fair projects are always inspired by Buzzfeed Unsolved episodes. Norville "Shaggy" Roberts, a former loner who self-medicates his anxiety with his medical marijuana card and homemade hemp "Scooby Snacks". Then, our valiant heroine of this tale, Daphne Blake. The daughter of a Lumber Tycoon and a fashion photographer, the local thespian, pageant queen, and all-around glamor girl. It was the redhead who founded the group after finding out the funds that were supposed to go to cafeteria food was allocated to a new football field. Her study group followed her on the pursuit, and thus, the group was born. They cleaned out the old guest dwelling, had Shaggy's van redone, and continued their pursuit for the truth.
Little did they know...the truth was much more darker than they hoped for.
