Chapter 13

Haliey

I've been so busy with rodeo I forgot that I bred Nala! I don't know how I forgot about that but I did!

She's due in month and is ready to get this baby out.

I FaceTimed my mom and Nala and she's blown up like a balloon! I'm so excited to get this foal on the ground!

After I called her I looked at my phone and I hadn't heard from Calum. It's been two days since I've talked to him. I decided to text him and see how he's doing.
Me: Hey Calum! How are you?

I got a response soon after. He must be thinking the same thing as me!
Calum: I'm good just having some conflicts with the band and my family.

Me: Oh I'm sorry! Is everything ok?

Calum: Yeah, how are you??

Me: I'm good! Where's your next show at?

Calum: It's somewhere in Nevada.

Me: I'm in Reno till Saturday, maybe if your close enough we could meet up!

Calum: Yeah! We're in Carson City. When should we meet up?

Me: Let's do it on Sunday evening?

Calum: Ok! It's a date! I'll pick you up at 4?

Me: Ok! I'll see you then!

I'm sooooooooo excited to finally be going out with him!!

I got my rodeo clothes on and saddled up Sis. I put on my Fire tack set and a pair of orange boots and white bell boots.

I hopped on and before we left I shoved my hat on my head. It's the last rodeo of the season besides circuit finals and the NFR. So even though I'm 4th in the world I still have a lot riding on this rodeo!

We got warmed up and I when I ran I obviously heard the crowd cheering but I kept hearing someone call my name and it sounded so familiar!

I let it go and when I got back to my trailer I heard a bunch of boys laughing and they kept coming closer and closer. I turned around cause I had to put my saddle away and it was Calum and the band!

"Oh my gosh! What are you doing here?!" I asked them, "Well I decided that I didn't want to wait an extra night to see you, and I wanted to watch you rodeo!" Calum said, "And we just had to meet the concert girl!" Luke chimed in, "Ok" I said as I chuckled, "I know Calum and the band but I don't know you." I said to the girl that was with them but she was quiet so I couldn't hear her or anything. "I'm Mali!" She responded enthusiastically. "Awesome! Are you part of the band and I just don't know it or what?" I asked her, "I'm Calums older sister and Mikey's girlfriend." She replied, "Oh cool!" I said as I put my saddle pad away.

"I gotta put her away" I told them, "Ok I'll come with you. I'll catch up with you guys later!" Calum said, "So, who's this?" He asked, "This is Sister and that's TJ." I told him as I let Sister loose. "Their cute!" He said.

I came out and he shut the gate. I grabbed some hay and stuffed it in the feeders and he helped me. When I came out of TJs stall he was waiting for me outside and was leaning on the fence. Dang he's hot.

We got back to the trailer and I said to him, "Well I'm gonna go in for the night. See ya Sunday!" I said, "Ok" he said and kissed my forehead.

He walked away and went in. He just kissed me!!! I was over the moon with happiness and excitement! And to top it all off Carlee and Jacob just posted their gender reveal and it's a girl!

I texted them and said congrats. I got ready for bed and I fell asleep with thoughts of Calum in my head.

Calum

I put my phone down after texting Hailey and yelled to the boys "I'm going to haikus rodeo to surprise her y'all wanna come?" "Yeah if Mali can come!" I scoffed "there is no way your bring my sister." I could almost see Michael rolling his eyes as he scoffed. "Fine. But I'm driving" I rolled my eyes. "Whatever." I was still pretty pissed off at Michael and Mali and I didn't want to see them together.

we all climbed into Michaels car and at last minute I said "you know what I'm gonna drive by myself so I can stay later." I climbed back out of his car and got into mine. Pulling in front of them to guide them to the rodeo.

We got there and I climbed out of my car and walked over to Michaels only to see Mali in the passenger seat. "Really Michael? I told you not to bring her!" Michael rolled his eyes and said "you can't control who I date." "Fine whatever just get out of the car so we can grab a seat."

After we all sat down I made sure that Mali was on the other side of us from Michael. When they called Hailey on I pointed her out to the boys. We all cheered her on, and after the show we went to find Hailey to congratulate her.

"I hope that when Hailey and Calum have a baby it looks more like Hailey." Mikey Scoffed and every one else exploded into laughter. I started laughing to though.

"Oh my gosh! What are you doing here?!" She asked us when we got to her. "Well I decided that I didn't want to wait an extra night to see you, and I wanted to watch you rodeo!" I said, "And we just had to meet the concert girl!" Luke chimed in, "Ok" She said as she chuckled, "I know Calum and the band but I don't know you." She said to the Mali that was with us but she was quiet so she probably couldn't hear her or anything. "I'm Mali!" She responded enthusiastically. "Awesome! Are you part of the band and I just don't know it or what?" She asked me. I wanted to scoff and laugh but I resisted myself, "I'm Calums older sister and Mikey's girlfriend." She replied, "Oh cool!" She said as she put her saddle pad away.

"I gotta put her away" she told us. "Ok I'll come with you. I'll catch up with you guys later!" I said said, "So, who's this?" I asked gesturing to her horse. "This is Sister and that's TJ." She told me as she let Sister loose. "Their cute!" I said.

She came out and I shut the gate. She fed the horses and I leaned against the fence to wait for her.

We got back to the trailer and she said to me, "Well I'm gonna go in for the night. See ya Sunday!" "Ok" I said and kissed her forehead.

As I walked away I thought to myself where the heck did I get that confidence?? But I did know one thing, I was head over heels for her.
