The Midnight Love

Chapter XII

I hated it when the sunlight poured through the cracks of the blinds in our window. I wanted to get them changed but Bella liked the color of them so obviously that was out of the question. I rolled over and nestled my head on her chest and hid my eyes from the blaring light. I felt her arms wrap around my head and squeezed me tight. I couldnt breathe very well with her boobs shoved in my face, but at the moment i wasnt complaining.

She realized what I had done here and picked my head up to face her, "why dont you ask?" she said and i rolled my eyes."because everytime i ask you tease me with them for about a half hour before you let me lay on them." I stuck my tounge at her and she sighed as she layed back down and pulled me with her. I smiled at her and she giggled softly as I suffocated her with kisses, I truly wouldnt want to be with anybody else in the entire world and i wanted her to know that. I thought about the jewlery store, and the expensive prices and i sighed, i could afford it but i wondered when i would have a day off.

I sat up in bed and looked down at her smiling, she had the blankets covering her chest, "my eyes are up here, my love" she sang to me. "youre mine, i can look when i want to look." i replied with a snort. I got up and headed towards the shower, She quickly dashed by me and with a slap to my bare ass that really stung, she screamed, "ME FIRST!" and locked the bathroom door behind her. I pouted, rubbing my sore butt pathetically and went back to bed.

On the way back to the bed i decided i would read up on my next mission, so i grabbed the envelope and jumped into bed. I skipped all the backround story and target Bios. Finally i got to the mission part of the packet. It said that we would be leaving at 4:30 pm today. i glanced at the clock and it said 2:27. "shit" i said to myself and then i read more quickly. It says our expected departure time would be 8 pm so this was going to be a relatively short mission.

I banged on the bathroom door, "baby i gotta go soon, hurry up." i said through the door. "It's open honey." she called back and i opened the door and quickly jumped into the shower. Bella helped me wash my hair as I scrubbed my body as fast as i could. I began to rinse the soap off me and out of my hair and she ran her hands up and down my chest. This slowed me down and looked into my eyes, she pulled my down towards her by my hair and kissed me softly. "Be careful baby, please?" she said in a soft voice as our bodies pressed together under the warm water and we looked into each others eyes. "I will, i promise." i replied, and she laid her head on my chest with her cheek on the rose tattooed on my chest. I felt relaxed as I held her tightly and she closed her eyes. "I'll kill you if you get hurt again." she said, "then that would defeat the purpose of being careful, wouldnt it?" i said to her and she pouted seeing my point. I kissed her pouty lips as i turned the water off and we got out and dried off.

Once I was dressed, thanks to some wardrobe help from Bella, I put my leather jacket on and glance at the clock that said, 4:20 pm. "goodluck baby." Bella said to me and kissed me as I went out the door.

I got outside to the transport car and saw that I didnt have a team with me today. I must have skipped over that part in the briefing. Now that i think of it I didnt really read anything about the mission. I caught the bag of blood that the driver tossed to me and i downed it in one gulp and tossed it away. Once we hit the road I asked the driver what i was supposed to do. He chuckled as though he was expecting this question. "youre just taking some surveilance of a suspicious area. No contact is necessary. we just want to know how many they've got." he said to me and i nodded. He stopped the car a couple of exits off the highway away from seattle. He pointed me towards the forest and told me it was only about a mile in. I thanked him and made my way into the green wonderland.

I reached the target destination rather quickly and I looked around for something suspicious. I saw that there was a cliff type slope on the grass and I layed down on my belly and peeked over it. I saw what seemed to be Hundreds if not thousands of them. Rows upon rows of SAC vampires. They were all sleeping it seemed, because all of their heads were down and they didnt move. It looked like an army of robots instead of vampires. I stood up as quietly as i could and I turned towards the forest again and a pale white fist stuck my face with such force that I tumbled backwards down the Hill.

As I rolled down the steep decline I grunted and groaned everytime my body slammed off the hard ground. I finally hit the bottom of the hill and my head was spinning. I opened my eyes to an army of what seemed to me like VERY angry vampires. I made my piece with God, not that i really believed in God but it couldnt hurt to ask him to make sure this didnt hurt. As they closed in on me, their fangs barred and their eyes were red with rage. As the first one lunged towards me, an arrow flew straight into his skull and the body fell on top of me. I pushed him off me and noticed all of them had backed off me. "Let him be! I want a word with him." a deep voice beckoned from the top of the hill. I liften my head off the floor and sat up slowly as the man that punched me came down the hill. I wiped some dirt off myself and stood up as he approached me. "dont try anything, son" he said to me as he watched me stand up, i assumed he got more nervous when i towered over him at my full height. i noted that he was probably Bella's height or even shorter. He was bald, just as all of the soldiers who now surrounded and hissed angrily at me.

Two of them grabbed my arms and pulled me towards one of their tents. They tied my hands behind my back and sat me in front of a desk in one of the larger tents. The short, bald, strong fisted man came in after me and shooed the two grunts away. He sat at his desk and sighed, "What are you doing here? why did they send you alone?" He asked me, almost sympathetically. "I dont think they like me very much." i answered honestly. "I bet its that imbicile, General Smith, huh? he's a jackass" he snorted, "how did you know?" I asked, holding back a smirk. "Because I was once in your army, son. They didn't tell you the whole story, did they?" he said. I shook my head. "ah yes, we were once very close, our clans. But those power hungry fiends of the north became too incensed by their need for power. They began trying to take over our territories and one thing led to another, blah blah blah... and now here we are." he smirked and took a drink of blood from the large cup on his desk. I squirmed in my seat as the fire in my throat started up again. "This isnt my war, im just doing this so they dont kill me." i replied to him, assuming he was going to kill me anyway. "so what do you want with me?" i asked, "I'm just gonna use you to lead them here to a trap." he replied flatly. I nodded and sighed, i just wanted to go home to Bella right now but now my life was on the line. But they might not even come for me anyway.

He got up with a knife, and walked around my chair and I closed my eyes as I heard the wind as he swung the Knife. But to my surprise, he cut the rope around my hands and offered me a cup of blood. I quickly chugged it down, and gasped as I didnt realize how badly i needed that. He chuckled as he walked back behind his desk and sat down again. "do you hear that?" He said to me with a finger in the air. I looked at him confused. "I think i hear those hummers, which means thats a search party." he grinned widely. He got up and walked outside and i heard him yelling out formation orders to the soldiers. Two grunts came into the tent and stood in front of the door, staring at me angrily with their arms crossed. I sat down staring back at them and thats when I heard gun shots and screaming going off outside. I stood quickly and the two grunts took attack positions on me. They hissed through their fangs as they slowly stalked towards me and backed me into the desk, and now i knew i was in a hell of alot of trouble.
