Chapter Twenty-Four

       I woke the next day, tired and weary. I had not slept well, afraid of what might have happened if I had. Naraku soon woke after me, looking into my eyes, pulling my hips closer to him. His smirk and the way he wrapped his leg over mine made me widen my eyes. 'If he wasn't so evil and had he not killed my little sister, perhaps I could have thought he was a handsome and somewhat dateable man.' I found myself thinking as I looked over his sleepy smirk and half-lidded eyes. I mentally slapped myself for even thinking such a horrendous thing. 

         "Good Morning My Darling." He said, his voice deeper than usual in the morning. "Good Morning Master." I said. He smiled and placed a small kiss on my forehead before getting up and picking me up. "We are going to bathe together." He said. I didn't protest, knowing if I did it would get me on his bad side again. He carried me to the bath, setting me on my feet. "Strip." He said and I did as told. His fingers stroked one of the scars on my joints. "I feel so horrible for maring your otherwise perfect skin." He said, placing a kiss on a scar on my back. 

      We got in the large Spring and I sat across from him, keeping my neck down underwater. "You seem shy Darling." He said. "I am sorry Master, I suppose being away has changed me a bit." I said. I was honestly ashamed of the lengths I was going to have to go to complete this mission and get out with my life. I knew this was just the icing on the cake, I would be forced to do many more things than just be naked around him. 

        After bathing we got out and got dressed. "Master if I may speak freely?" I asked. "Go on." He said and turned to face me. "I was only wondering why you are allowing me to walk around free of constraints. I was honestly expecting to come back to the conditions I had left." I said. "I told you I regret the scars I gave you. I thought a lot while you were gone, out of my reach and I realized something." He said, a slightly crazed look on his face as he stepped closer and closer, pinning me to the wall. "You don't hurt the woman you love that way, you just hurt the people trying to take her away from you." He said. I flinched as he brought his hand up. He took a lock of hair and twirled it around his finger. 

         He had snapped even more since I had let, if that were even possible. "I want you all to myself and no one else can have you. I love you and I know you love me too Luna, you can't deny it. I know you escaped because you were trying to make me see that the way  was treating you was wrong and now that I know, you won't ever leave again will you?" He asked, his eyes searching mine, a large smile on his face. "I-I promise I won't leave you Master." I said, the crazed look in his eyes terrifying me. 

         He went with me everywhere, including the bathroom. I expected this though. "Master?" I asked. "Hm?" He said. "Why me of all other creatures?" I asked him. "You were the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, walking around with that little half-breed. I watched you for some time before making my move. Watching how kind you were and fierce made me fall in love with you." He said, turning to look at me. I nodded, looking down. "Why do you ask, pet?" He asked. "I was only curious." I answered. That night was the same as the last, sleeping next to him, his arms wrapped around me as he slept soundly.
