Sesshomaru X OC

Chapter Nineteen

               Sesshomaru stood faster than I could blink. "I refuse to let you do that. That puts you in danger I could possibly not save you from." He said and shook his head. "I would rather storm his castle like Inuyasha said." He added. I walked over to him. I placed my hands on his chest and looked into his shining golden eyes. "Sesshomaru, if I am in his castle I can figure out where his heart is for us." I said. "I do not care. You are not going to go back to him. He will touch you and hurt you. I cannot even bare to imagine the things he will do to you when he gets his hands back on you." He said and wrapped his arms around me. "I will be fine, I swear it. If I can find his heart I can kill him." I said. "And if he wants to lay with you?" He asked. "I had not thought of that." I said. "You know he will want to as soon as he gets you back. He will not kill you. I know he will not but he will break your limbs again if you deny him what he wants." He said. "I am stronger this time." I said. He sighed. "You cannot defeat him alone. I refuse to allow you to put yourself at this type of risk. Think of Rin. I know you want to avenge Yuki but you need not die doing it." He said. 

                 "Then how do you propose we go about kill Naraku?" I asked, pulling away from him. "He ultimately wants Kikyo." Inuyasha said after a moment of silence. "Why?" Sesshomaru asked. "Naraku was originally a man named Onigumo, he was seriously injured and Kikyo, back when she was a real living human, tried to nurse him back to health. SHe knew he was evil but still helped him. He became obsessed with her and he had to have her. He was too weak to do anything about he obsession and so he allowed a horde of demons to devour his flesh and from there Naraku was born. He still possesses a human heart that yearns for Kikyo." Kagome filled us in. "So we uses this Kikyo as bait." Sesshomaru said. "He is bound to have his heart somewhere near if she is there and he comes for her." Sango said. 

                "We are not using Kikyo as bait." Inuyasha  said and growled at us. "I am not using my living mate as bait. Kikyo is nothing more than clay and ashes of her real body, only animated by the souls of other humans." Sesshomaru said.  Inuyasha growled at him and Sesshomaru pushed me behind him. "Kikyo is alive again, whether it is artificial . I won't let her be killed again." Inuyasha argued. "She is dead and you need to accept that Inuyasha. God you're so stupid sometimes! Her being brought back to life almost killed me! Would you have been OK with that as long as you got your precious Kikyo back?" Kagome yelled. She finally snapped. "Well-I-uh." He was at a loss for words. It angered me. He was truly torn about being OK with Kagome dying to bring Kikyo back. Her eyes filled with tears. "I hate you." She whispered and ran off. "Kagome wait! I-" "Leave it, you've hurt her enough." Sango interrupted him and ran after her. I ran after the both of them as well, leaving the men behind. 

                 When I reached them, they were sitting at the Lake in the garden and Kagome was crying. "I am sure he just wasn't sure how to answer to something like that." Sango said as she stroked Kagome's hair. "He is torn between a new love and an old one who was brought back. His wounds from his old love were never healed and when she was brought back he was reminded how much he truly loved her. He loves you as well Kagome, you are the new love. He is not sure which love is stronger right now but he will figure it out." I said and wrapped my arms around her. "He doesn't need to hurt me like this in the process of figuring it out. She doesn't even love him. She said so herself. She told me. She said there was a time when she did but the love she had once is gone now but she plays with him and tries to kill him and he lets her. And she makes me watch every time she tries." Kagome explained. "She was once a good woman but she was brought back a bitter and vile one." I said. 

                 "Is what you said just now true Kagome?" Inuyasha asked from behind us. "It is, I have tried to tell you before but you never listen to me, thinking your precious little Kikyo can do no wrong and that she would never hurt you. You are so ready to sacrifice yourself and let her kill you because you think you deserve it." Kagome said, standing and facing him, wiping the tears from her face. "I'm sorry." He said and walked towards her. "It's always Kikyo this and Kikyo that, the moment you catch her smell you go running and find her, leaving us to try and figure out where you went." She said, ignoring him as he continued towards her. "I am so sorry I have put you through all that I have." He said to her, wrapping his arms around her. She started sobbing again. "You aren't sorry in the least." She mumbled against him and he lifted her face to meet his. He kissed her gently and she melted into it. "I truly am sorry." He said. 

                     After everything was resolved between everyone it was dinner time. Rin came and sat on my lap as we all ate. "Big Sister?" She asked. "Yes?" I asked her. "Are you and Lord Sesshomaru going to get married?" She asked, smiling up at me. "I plan to make her my wife sometime in the future." Sesshomaru answered before I could. My face went red and I continued eating. "Alright, I am done. I'm gonna go to bed now Big Sister, I'm tired." She said and got up. Aku had arrived not long ago with the maids and one of them led Rin to her room. 

            Sesshomaru kissed my cheek after he finished eating and then whispered, "I'll meet you in our room. I'll be waiting to see how you punish me."
