Chapter 1

"This place is a fucking mistake!"

"Marrying you is! And don't tell me things like that! If you never even cheated with another girl from a strip club, we would still be happy!"

"Tell that to the money you spent on buying drugs and alcohol!"

The familiar shouts and grunts was the first thing Yeri was welcomed with. As the sound of the door slammed, both her mother and father stopped their feud. The short-haired girl gave them her uninterested look as she said, "Go on. Continue."

Messy and unorganized, that was how Yeri would describe them. The house and their family.

It took her years before getting used to all the ear-drilling screams and complaints they threw to each other. Why can't they just divorce, you ask? Simple. Her elder sister, Jieun and her. That was the only thing that's been keeping their fragile marriage for years.

Yeri proceeded to her room where she found her sister laying in the bed, wearing her favorite earphone from 15 years ago. Jieun, as soon as she saw her sister, put her headphones down. "Fighting, aren't they?"

"As usual," Yeri sighed as she sat down the bed. "It's quite strange that mother didn't reprimand me of something again. She almost looked guilty, it was unbelievable."

Jieun chuckled and sat up beside Yeri, "Really?" Seeing her elder sister, Yeri could not help it but to feel relieved that she still has her sister to hold on to, "Tell me 'bout your day."

"Woah!" The younger shot back, her tone sounding surprised, "That's... strange? You don't usually ask about my day, do you?"

Jieun shrugged, "Well, today's your lucky day. Come on, tell me about it."

"Nothing special, really. I went to school, took classes, quizzes. Also slept in to some subjects that bored me out. Why'd you ask?" Yeri narrowed her eyes in suspicion. Jieun was acting different today, it made Yeri feel sick.

The elder sister smiled. For Yeri, it wasn't just a smile she used to have. It was something odd and sad. Jieun stretched her arm as if asking for her hug, "Come here."

The short-haired girl looked at her, sure that her sister is hiding something.  Nonetheless, she still accepted her sister's arms. "Jieun, I don't know why you're acting like this. I definitely don't know what's in your head but if you're thinking about.. leaving me, I'd suggest not. You would not like it," Yeri chuckled.

Jieun snickered with her and nver uttered a word for a minute or two. They were just there, cuddling each other, with Yeri not knowing why was she acting like that.

Jieun was the first one to let go. She kissed Yeri's forehead as she stood up from the bed. "You should rest. It seems that our parents stopped fighting for awhile."

Yeri nodded, "Alright. But I won't forget how suspicious you acted earlier," she jokingly narrowed her eyes  as Jieun grinned.

"Go, sleep," she pat her head, "I love you."

As it turned out, Jieun was never found beside Yeri that morning. From the time the sun starts up to the time where dusk sets, Yeri never gave up finding. But the only trace Yeri could probably get on was the note that said:

Last night, you really  figured out what was in my mind. You really did see through me, do you, Yeri? I'm sorry. I'll come back for you, wait for me. I promise. We'll get through this together.

Yeri was hesitant at first. To think that, of all people who would leave her, it was her sister that was the first one to go. To leave her in this abusive household, to leave her only to suffer. She did not know what to feel or what to even respond.

The anger and the feelings of betrayal all crept up to her system but the trust for her sister never left. She trusts her sister would come back, because Jieun said so. Jieun never breaks her promise. Jieun would never abandon her sister. Yeri knows. But why was it that made her do these things? Why did it feel like she only escaped all by herself without the intention of never going back? What if she wouldn't come back?

Yeri held the note tightly. Until her sister comes back, she will be waiting. She will be clinging to that trust they both built for each other. If incase she did not... only time can decide.

Okay here's the first part!!!! I really loved the new character i gave to yeri ++ the addition of her sister, jieun.

We'll get to see more of jungkook and joy next chapter. joy will most likely appear nxt chapter and i'm still not quite sure abt jungkook. But he will play a big role for yeri's life [of course].
