I'm walking around the beautiful city of Paris. I've become to the realization that I really love walking alone when it's freezing. I hold a hot vanilla latte between my hands warming me a bit every time I take a sip.
It has been two months since the last time I saw him. He never tried to contact me, I didn't either. Every newspaper, magazine and TV Show make sure to show me how good and happy he is in his new relationship. On my side, I'm not really enjoying life. I'm failing at college, I can't find work, I only live and depend on Victor. I'm so grateful for everything he and his boyfriend, Nathan, do for me. Moreover, I even deleted the Instagram app because I couldn't handle people commenting me everywhere or asking me about him.
A couple of days I found out that I left one of my necklaces inside his car, it was a gift from my grandmother. That's why I'm walking now to the practice camp, to get it back. I don't want to call him because he may not reply so I rather do it in person and quickly.
I make my way to the huge entrance and flashbacks flood my mind, I do miss him like hell. I throw my empty glass to a bin beside the building and enter the place.
"Es-Tu le média?" A middle-aged woman asks me as soon as I reach the door. "Puis-Je voir votre identified?" She insists.
"Elle est avec moi. (She is with me.)" A male voice appears from behind me.
I turn around and face Thilo. "Thanks." I murmur and he smiles.
The woman moves to a side and we walk inside with Thilo's hand on my lower back. "What are you doing here?" He asks breaking the silence.
"I forgot a necklace inside Kylian's car." I slowly answer him.
"And he knows that you're here?" He questions me curiously.
"No," I reply and we keep walking. "Anyways, shouldn't you be training already?" I ask confused.
"I should, but since Touche barely lets me play I'm kinda protesting." He shrugs.
"Great way to solve things Thilo." I deny with my head and he laughs.
"Look who's talking." I decide to ignore his comment.
When we reach the door to the training camp I grab his arm. "Wait." He looks at me confused. "Can you please call him and bring him here? I don't know how he is going to react, please just tell him that someone is waiting for him!" I beg the German boy and he feels my desperation.
"Fine, but you owe me." He replies and I nod frenetically.
"Thank you!" I say and he leaves. I stay behind the door waiting for Kylian.
The door opens and I see Mbappes figure entering the hallway, once he lays his eyes on me I see them getting wide open. "America?" He asks amazed.
"It won't take long, I need your car keys to look for my necklace I forgot inside your car." I quickly say.
"What?" He asks lost and I sigh.
"Can I please have your car keys? My necklace is inside your car!" I repeat slower.
He seems to understand what I said and looks away. "I changed the car."
My mouth drops. "What?!"
"It reminded me of you." He excuses.
"I hate rich kids! What am I gonna do?" I start to walk around and he stays in silence. "Who got it now?"
"I have no idea, I'm sorry. I didn't know about the necklace." He apologizes.
Before I answer him, Thilo walks in, interrupting me once again. "So? Did you get it?" He asks careless and the French boy looks at him curiously.
"No, he dead-ass sold the car!" I explain to him and Thilo glances over Mbappe.
