"Hit or miss, I guess they never miss huh." I sang to.
"Moira do we have to listen to this garbage?" Blaine cries driving us to school.
"You got a boyfriend I bet he doesn't miss ya. MUAH." I said turning up the music. Blaine found a parking spot and took the keys out of the ignition.
"You'll walk next time." He states.
"I bet if I walk here I will be faster than you grandma." I retorted
"Get out of my car." He laughs. We walked together into the school and I am confronted with Blaine's intolerable questions.
"Why are you avoiding Calum?" He asks.
"I am not I just haven't seen him, or talk to him in a week since my whole loopy day." I said.
"You are so dumb." Blaine calls me.
"Takes one dummy to know another." I smiled and said.
As we walk down to my Biology class I see both Calum and Shawn walk down the hallway. I start to fasten my pace, because the situation with Calum. But also, recently Shawn and I are starting to become more friendly. On the Calum side I don't know what to say. If I talk to Shawn I really want to talk about alpacas again. But Blaine is here and I know he'll ask so many questions. I know this is going to be problematic for me and my big mouth.
"Moira!" Shawn yells.
"Oof Shawn, ya spooked me." I laughed.
"Hey, how are you Blaine?" Shawn asked.
"Doing good Shawn, how are you?" Blaine replied in shock.
"Pretty good at the moment." Shawn said.
"Well this small talk is very cute but I got to get to, Bio." I laughed then said.
"Hey, let me walk you to your class and we can finish our talk from yesterday." Shawn said.
"Sure, bye Blaine."
As we walked down the hallway our conversation got progressively louder from my laughing.
"I can't believe you're going to Canada for Christmas!" I said in excitement.
"Yeah, I'm excited." Shawn smiles.
"You're pretty lucky, I normally have dinner with my family and the Hoods. All of them in my house eating traditional feast." I explained.
"Well I won't be gone all week maybe we can do something when I get back?" He asked.
"Definitely, well this is me. See ya in English." I said.
The day went on like any other day. A bit too quite, but it was nice to be able to forget how embarrassing I was with Calum. The day ended and I went to go get food with Blaine. I waited for him out by the parking lot. I waited and waited. What a terrible best friend I have.
I see him running towards me and we walk to his car. He picks the place to eat this time and we drive off. Once we get to the destination we park and go inside. I see Calum and freak out internally. I turn around to back out but Blaine already has a grip on my arm.
"So Calum being here, you had something to do with that?" I asked.
"Oh wow look at that let sit down!" He says walking to Calum's table in the Pho restaurant. Calum looks up from the menu and sees us both. My hands are so clammy and I looked like a four year old doing something they don't want to do.
"Oh man, mom's calling, I'll be right back." Blaine said pushing me into the chair across from Calum. Blaine has left us two alone to our selves. I just grabbed a menu and looked through the options. Finally trying to fill the silence, I say something first.
"Oo the spring rolls look amazing." I stated.
"If you're still embarrassed about the whole thing last week. Don't be I thought it was cute. Sorry that was out of the blue but I have a lot on my mind." Calum responded.
"I didn't mean for all my feeling to come out like that. I guess we'll take this as a lesson for me to get more sleep." I laughed awkwardly.
"Do you regret it?" He asked.
"I mean it was nothing more than a loss of cognitive thought. I didn't mean to say the whole undying love and I think of you often. I mean, my thoughts just were expressed once it came to my mind. Speaking with out thinking Calum." I replied.
"Let's just order food. But it's water under the bridge." He said looking at the menu again.
We order our food and Blaine's. we kept making glances over to each other. His hair was catching the sunlight perfectly but thank gosh I said that in my head. We began to talk about thankfully another topic.
"You guys coming over for Christmas?" I asked.
"You bet, it's not the Holidays without your parents!" Calum said.
"For once all my siblings are actually going to be home. Marlo is bringing his new boyfriend. A butterfly whisper. Margarita is bringing her new boyfriend too, not a butterfly whisper." I said trying not to laugh.
"A butterfly whisper?" Calum asked.
"A butterfly whisper. Marlo finds it endearing." I explained.
"Medical School is really going well for Marlo I guess..." Calum sighed.
I nodded in agreement and then grabbed a spring roll. I continue to listen Calum y'all about the rest of the break. While I would to take another bite of my spring roll. But then wondered where the heck is Blaine.
"I'm going to tell you something." Calum blurts.
"Go ahead." I said getting nervous.
Before Calum could talk Blaine walks in taking a seat down. I look at him with narrowed eyes of betrayal. I am also curious on how he manage to find something to do for 30 minutes. I mean his mom always called after school to remind him about his rash ointment. But that takes about two or three minutes.
"Hey kids, what I missed?" Blaine asked getting his chopsticks.
"Marlo is dating a butterfly whisper." Calum replies.
"Better than your last boy friend Moira. He was an avid worm collector." Blaine joked.
"His dad owned a bait and tackle shop. How many times do I have to remind you?" I replied.
"Maybe you just need an upgrade." Calum added and then winked in my direction.
