For the record I'm not a date type of girl. I like to hang out and chill but when you take me on a date it changes everything. Do not get me wrong I really like Calum but first date jitters are stronger than anything.
I feel like I look like a clown and that was dressed by a 3 year old. I cannot blame anyone, it is my own fault for dressing myself like this.

It was almost time for Calum to come pick me up. I was sweating more and more. I went out of my room to Monroe to make sure I look good. Thank gosh he watched project runway with me because he loves Tyra Banks.

"On a scale of one to America's top model how do I look?" I asked.

"5, I do not like the mom jeans." He replied looking up from his phone.

"Ten dollars from Kohl's and comfy I'm gonna take it BINCH." I replied and went back to my room to get my stuff.

I already got the text from Calum that he is already here. He told me he was gonna come in and oh boi I was getting overly nervous. Once I heard the door bell my mom and I raced for the door. I let her win and open the door because she almost ripped my arm from my body.

The door opened to see Calum smiling and probably replaying in his mind about what he heard behind the door. Damn these thin doors.

"Hey you ready to go??" He asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"You two have fun." My mom replied.

We went outside and I got into Calum's car. Put on my seat belt because safety first binches. Calum started the car and started to tell me the plans.

"So I was thinking Build-a-Bear and Village Inn?" He said wary.

"You're going to take me to build a bear and get a  slice of pie at Village Inn..." I said.

"Do you not like the idea? I knew it was stupid." Calum sighed.

"I'm gonna cry. That sounds amazing." I said tearing up.

"Really because plan B was going to a fancy dinner." He replied.

"Let's Build a bear!" I said triumphantly.

It took about a good twenty minutes to get to the mall. I got aux and Calum was glancing at me as I was singing along to Cher. I got you babe is a bop but I think Calum likes Boulevard of Broken Dreams. We walked together hand in hand into the mall trying to find the Build-a-Bear.

Once we found the promise land I was brought to tears. It was beautiful. I have been trying to come here and make a Pokémon Build a Bear. I was so excited in that moment. Then I realized Calum and I were about to make a bear together.

"I think we should do a Psyduck." I replied looking at the thicc already made psyduck.

"What about the captain America bear?" He asked.

I looked at him with a glare because I was determined to have this Psyduck. We settled on the Jurassic World T-Rex much to my dismay but it was both ours. This T-Rex was made out of love, we saw it inflate, sewn up, and dressed. We even named him Roy Carson Hood and he was our pride and joy. Once we got to the counter we both handed out credit card to the cashier. Calum was fighting me but I was pushing him away. We ended up paying half each which for my feminist tendencies was fair to me.

As I held Roy in my arms and rather in that small sufficating box we walked back to Calum's car. It was Village Inn time and boy was I ready for a breakfast skillet. During the whole car ride I looked out the window to see the sun set. I turned to look at Calum and he took this moment to try to hold my hand in which I yelled at him to keep his hands on two and ten. He does not listen and holds my hand anyway. I guess, I did not mind it one bit though.

Once we got to the Village Inn, it was time to get country potatoes. Calum and I sat in our booths and waited to order food. So this has been a pretty successful first date. Until the waitress came by our table.

"Moira how are you, and who is your friend?" The waitress asked.

"Justine, this is Blaine's cousin. How is Auntie Grenada?" I asked

"My mom is traveling. It has been awhile Cous. You know Jeremy is working today let me go get him." My cousin Justine said.

I am pretty sure I looked pale as a ghost, and I very sure Calum is looking at me very confused. I cannot believe that I forgot Jeremy Hunt worked at this Village Inn. So much for a smooth sailing first date...

"So what was that?" Calum asked.

"That's my cousin Justine, she just a peach but lives with her dad instead of my Aunt Grenada." I explained.

"And Jeremy Hunt working here?" He followed up his question.

"Did I mention that Jeremy works here during the Winter before fishing season." I said laughing awkwardly.

Then there was Jeremy coming out of the kitchen with his big dumb smile. I always adore that smile, before everything ended. Jeremy broke up with me when his parents saw me to be useless for his future. He was outdoorsy and I would stay inside doing whatever. He was better with skilled work while I was always studying for the next topic. I guess opposites do attract even if I was dating a guy who was the definition of a outdoors man.

My heart was racing.
