Lee's Lusciousness :: Eight
Tonight was the date. I was literally mind puking right now. My stomach rumbled as I pulled the purple dress we bought yesterday out of my closest. Friday's were the days when Lee went to his independently owned bar and grill in town. It was called Lee's Lusciousness - I always hated the name. But, knowing this information I booked us a reservation at Lee's restaurant so I could show Hayden off to Lee.
"Knock knock," Hayden said, messing with his tie in the doorway, "I need some help, babe."
I rolled my eyes. Ever since we've been up this morning, Hayden wanted get into the, boyfriend mood, hence all of the endearing terms he's been calling me. "No problem, cupcake." I smirked, taking the tie from his hand and redoing the knot he was trying to make.
He scoffed, "I'm more like a pie. Hand-crafted, fuller and enjoyed by many people."
"Hayden," I sternly told him, "You can't be this witty at the restaurant. Lee probably thinks you're some billionaire lawyer or something."
Hayden stepped back, clearing his throat and loosening his tie. He flashed me a small smile before thanking me and backed out of the room, fake saluting me. I snorted, rolling my eyes. Picking up the dress I had laid on my bed, I went to the bathroom to change.
Locking the door behind me, I started to strip out of my clothes. I was already starting to get anxious about this date. My hands were mildly sweating, my heart was being to quicken it's pace and I was feeling warm all over. Why did I ever tell Lee that I was going on a date with Hayden?
Pulling the dress over my body, I felt it mold to my skin as if it were a part of me. I was really in love with this dress. I tried paying Hayden back for this dress earlier today, but he refused to take any of the money I offered, not even a single penny. I didn't argue because one day, I'd figure out how to repay him for this awesome dress.
"Addison, the taxi is here." Hayden said through my closed bedroom door.
I slipped my feet into a black pair of high heels and grabbed my small purse. I unlocked the door, letting Hayden in. "I'll be ready in a second," I said, making my way towards my vanity table. I applied a light brush of mascara to my lashes before snatching up my phone and turned towards Hayden.
"Well?" I asked with a smile, and did a small twirl, "What do you think?"
He flashed me a big smile, and two thumbs up. "Hot and spicy, just how I like my chicken wings - I mean, ladies."
I pushed his shoulder playfully, which was clad in the white dress shirt he had bought, "You need a mouth filter."
He shrugged. "What can I say? You make me nervous." And then he winked, making sure that I knew he was joking and I was to laugh. Although I didn't let out a gut-busting laugh, I cracked a smile and headed out of my bedroom with Hayden in tow.

"Reservations for Guire," I said when we both stepped up to the receptionist who looked down at her giant binder filled with names.
"Two?" She asked, taking the pencil from behind her ear and scratching off the name Guire from the list. I figured putting it in Hayden's name would ensure that Lee didn't know we would be here tonight - I was playing it safe.
Once I confirmed the party of two, she showed us to the cheaper section of the dining room and sat us at a table for two. The tables were decorated with a white, linen tablecloth, two light green roses in the center of the table and one square shaped candle that was slowly loosing it's light.
