END A/N
The next morning, the odd duo gave their farewells to Jael and left the comfort of his castle to travel through the humid desert. The only comfort is that they were better equipped to handle the harshness of the sands. Sparrow still had no idea where their destination was going to lead them. In fact, she has hardly spoken to the pirate after she left his room last night. Their confessions left their fragile relationship in a weird place and neither one of them wanted to upset it any further. How could they both hate themselves for falling in love with each other? Nothing made sense. Both of them were considerably more confused than the day prior. How could this kind of love even hope to survive the unpleasantries of life? Neither one of them thought it could.
After many hours of constant walking, they came across a tree that somehow have survived out in the middle of the sands. It looked like it was near the end of its life, but it offered enough shade for the two to rest away from the scorching sun. They had to sit relatively close to both utilize the shade, but Reaver missed the being so close to her. Maybe it would have been better to have suppressed their feelings about one another, but somehow he didn't think so.
Sparrow pulled out a water skin and took a small sip. It was barely enough to wet her tongue, but she felt the need to preserve the water as much as possible.
The hero offered it to the pirate, which he gratefully accepted. The moment the water hit his dry mouth, he grimaced. The once freshwater had started tasting more like the skin than water. Maybe that will keep them from drinking too much of the foul liquid before they reached their destination.
"How far is this mystery place?" Sparrow asked, sick of the constant silence.
He jerked slightly, surprised to hear her speak. "A couple days. Five at most," he replies, aching to say more, but lacking the words to do so. Little did he know, the little bird felt the same way.
She laid her head on his shoulder, ignoring her thoughts of what possible evil he may have in store. Reaver glanced down at her surprised, before lightly resting his head against hers. Sparrow actually found herself wishing she could do more with the pirate before she brushed the thought off as a heat stroke.
"Maybe we should rest during the day and travel at night," the hero suggested.
"Our crossing will take longer as we won't be able to see as clearly as in the day. We may also get lost,"
She sighed. "You're right. I just can't stand this blasted heat any longer and it's only been a couple of hours."
Before he could stop himself, Reaver raised his hand and lightly stroked her cheek.
Sparrow leaned into his soft touches feeling a burning desire to capture his lips. She looked at his dry lips for a moment before dismissing the thought as quickly as it came. Reaver noticed her wandering eyes and figured out what she desired most at this moment.
He wanted to resist the temptation to kiss her. To prove to the world that he stayed the ever emotionless Reaver instead of succumbing to a weakness such as love. Sitting under the hot desert sun sapped his strength to fight the feelings that have been plaguing him like a nightmare. The pirate leaned his head down, gradually getting closer to his target. He went slowly to make sure Sparrow would have plenty of time to shove him away if his advances weren't currently welcome.
The hero made no move to stop him, so he gently connected his lips to hers in the most passionate kiss he has ever felt in his life. Of course, he's only ever kissed two women in his long life. He made a rule not to kiss harlots on their filthy mouths, besides he always felt a kiss was too... personal.
When he pulled away, he could see the same feeling of passion in her eyes.
"I truly cannot understand what is going on between us," the pirate king says, leaning closer to her enchanting lips again. "But I no longer want to fight it."
"Neither do I," she whispers, closing the distance.
They pushed against each other, kissing roughly with the need they have been suppressing. She positioned herself on his lap, grinding onto him, as their tongues began to explore each other mouths. They groaned in sync with pleasure shooting through their overworked bodies.
The pirate gripped Sparrow's shoulders and suddenly pushed her back slightly. They were gasping for breath, trying to refill their lungs after such a prolonged make-out session. She looked at Reaver surprised.
"As much as I desire this, out in the open scorching desert isn't quite what I had in mind." He grins cockily, at the blushing mess of a hero, while she glanced away in shame.
She really couldn't control herself around the pirate. Sparrow's convinced she would have gone a lot further if he had not stopped her.
The little bird moved off the pirate king's lap and sat back next to him, keeping her eyes off him. Her eyes, however, couldn't miss the noticeable bulge that had formed in his trousers.
