The Pirate King pulled her into an embrace before peppering her with kisses. She put her hand on his face and tried to wipe away some of the wetness. The moment felt so surreal until memories flooded her mind.
She remembered everything. Sparrow glanced at her other hand and noticed the mask that she was given. Reaver followed her gaze and stared at the mask in confusion.
"Where'd that come from? I don't understand what is happening. Have I gone mad?"
The ground underneath them shook and rumbled springing the Hero into action. She jumped out of his arms and grabbed his hand.
"We need to move!"
She yanked him off the circle out of the blinding red light onto the steady ground.
"What is happening? Sparrow?"
The Hero ignored the Pirate and swept the ground for their weapons. They lay off to the side of the circle and she rushed to pick them up. A scream erupted distracting her. One of the evil monks evaporated into thin air. Jack was absorbing them.
"There's too much to explain!" She told Reaver. "We're going to have to fight!"
"But-"
She whirled around and slapped the Pirate King's perfect face. She wanted to feel guilty, but he did deserve that one and more.
"Get a hold of yourself. An ancient evil is about to wake and we must fight it lest it destroys the entire world."
He stared at the woman before him in shock. She has defied death two, no three times now and she's acting like it was nothing but a parlor trick. He was sure that she was dead. Her blood was still coating her body and his hands. The slice across her throat had faded away leaving only an old fading scar. Sparrow's body even glowed. Somehow her will had been restored to its former glory. His little bird never ceased to surprise him.
The slap has helped to clear his mind and he was slightly thankful. He grabbed his weapons off the ground and she did as well. They turned to face the circle. One by one the monks were disintegrated into dust. The stone circle cracked more each time.
"Get away from her you bastard!" A female voice suddenly screamed out over the chaos.
They both turned shocked to see the most unexpected faces.
"Did you think I would die by your treachery?" A male voice remarked.
"Hammer? Garth?" Sparrow questioned her sanity for a moment. "What in Avo are you doing here?"
"We're trying to save you from him!" Hammer answered pointing an accusing finger toward the Pirate King.
"A little too late for that!" She called out to her former fighting companions. "But I do need your help to defeat Jack!"
"Who?" The former monk questioned.
"How did they activate the circle if you're still alive?" Garth suddenly asked.
Sparrow wasn't sure how he knew anything about this, but there was no time for lengthy explanations.
"I did die, but that doesn't matter right now. We need your help!"
"Doesn't matter? Of course, it matters!" Hammer argued. "How are you alive? Did he kill you?" She pointed at the Pirate.
"It wasn't entirely his fault. Now listen! An ancient evil is about to awaken and we have to defeat it. If we don't it will devour the world. Now come help us!"
The ground shook again nearly knocking them all to the ground. The Hero of strength and the Hero of Will joined them facing the circle with overwhelming dread. None of them knew exactly what would be crawling out from under the cracking stone, but they knew they had to defeat it.
