Your P.O.V

Storming furiously back into the academy, all I could think about was where that jerk would be, that he was going to pay, and that I was wearing pajamas and probably looked insane in front of everyone. I ignored the judgmental stares, honestly not caring. The only thing running through my head was Nicholas Scratch.

I could not believe what he had done. Again.

I was pulled out of the mental rant I was having with myself about how infuriating that warlock is when someone else I found very infuriating stopped right in front of me.

"Well don't you look pleasant." Of course Prudence had to be here. "What happened to you?"

"Take a wild guess, Prudence." I crossed my arms over my chest, trying to contain my anger. "Nicholas. I woke up in the woods!"

She, Agatha and Dorcas snickered, obviously enjoying my fury at the boy as well as how ridiculous I looked with my messy hair, nightgown, and tired eyes. I highly doubt that anyone would wake up in the middle of the woods looking good.

"Do you know where he is?" I asked impatiently.

Prudence smirked and motioned her head toward the library. Obviously, being drama's biggest fan, she'd gladly reveal his location of hiding.

I charged toward the library, shoving the doors open and scanning the room for any sign of Nick. When I spotted a quiff of brown hair, I hurried over to him and before I could get any words out, he spoke.

"Hey, Princess." He sniggered, an eyebrow raised in amusement at my appearance. "Miss me?"

"If wanting nothing but to punch you is what you call missing someone, then sure." I gave a fake, overenthusiastic smile.

"Ah, come on, Princess. We all know you love me." He grinned cheekily, pulling off his jacket and handing it to me so I could put it on over my figure, shaking from cold thanks to him. Normally I'd deny it with a witty retort, but I was too cold to do so and just accepted it, quickly covering my bare shoulders with it.

I shook my head and chuckled. "This isn't over, Scratch."

"When is it ever?" He smiled, his charm never weakening. "And besides, you're the one who hexed me into the girls shower rooms when I was in the middle of taking a shower."

"I did all those girls a favor." I added, laughing to myself at the memory and Nicholas' humiliation.

Before anything else could be said, an unpleasant voice sounded from behind me. One I should have known was going to appear sometime soon, considering that while Prudence was obviously keen on me finding Nicholas after what he had done, she wouldn't just let him be the one in trouble. Of course she'd go find a teacher and inform her about my unsuitable clothing.

"Y/N Y/L/N!" Miss Woodland yelled, marching toward me with a displeased look on her face.

I heard Nicholas laugh at the trouble I was about to be in and I glared at him before diverting my attention back to Miss Woodland, the most annoyingly strict teacher at the academy.

"Have you no shame, wearing clothing as inappropriate as this!" She lectured. "To your room, young lady. Now."

"See you later, Princess." Nicholas whispered before I left.

I didn't have to look at him to see the satisfied, smug smile on his face as I walked away.
