Chapter 2

I was born with no personality. Completely empty, with no identity to call my own. A void, like a blank canvas. I don't have a soul. There are people like me scattered around the world, but most just shut themelves out to somewhere no one can ever reach them. They're alone.

Everything about me is just what I take from other people. Someone can think I'm kind, and I'll take that word and put it where my soul should be. I'm filling the hole. However, I can't choose which words to use to identify myself as. I have no filter. Meaning, someone else can think I'm mean, and I'll use that word to fill my hole too. I am the very reflection of everyone's thoughts.

My parents love me. I know that. They think I'm useless, stupid, and ignorant, but they still love me. The people who have taken me under their wing for 15 years would never abandon me. They give their kindness to me unconditionally, even when I can so easily be shattered and broken. But, despite that, I know I'm just a waste of space. I feel it, the thought in the back of my mind, always there, whispering. If I wasn't here they could be happy. They could smile again. Maybe they know that, mabe they think it everyday, yet they still give me food and a place to live. Even though they release an onslaught of words constantly into my mind, I know they don't mean it. I do. I believe in them. I mean, I have to believe in them. If I don't, I'll fall apart.

Hey! Thanks to everyone reading this! I know this chapter is kind of short, but the other chapters were short too so... And yeah, I know this isn't exactly my strongest chapter :P Sorry! I had no idea how to write it and I was stuck so hopefully it's not too bad, maybe? Stick with me though! I'll make it up with the next chapter! haha Thank you to James for not letting me abandon this story! Leave a critique if you want, and thanks again!
