As soon as Jennie reached her car, she automatically threw herself at her cousin's arms. She's been holding her tears inside, so she cried harder into her chest unceasingly, her hands clutching at her shirt.

"Just let it out, Jen," says Jisoo as she rubs her cousin's back. A tear escaped from her eyes, seeing that her cousin was so damn hurt. She couldn't do anything but comfort her.

"U-unnie, help me, I can't take this. I love her so much, and now I just threw all those hurtful words at her. Unnie, I don't know if I can still put a smile on my face now that she's gone," Jennie said as she cried. Her bottom lip quivered.

"Shhh. It's okay, it's okay. One day, she'll understand why you've done all this. you pushed her away for her safety. Everything will be alright, Jen. But please promise me that you will be strong. That you will still continue your life. Help yourself and do not let loneliness overwhelm you. All of this is a god-given trial, and it is all you can deal with."

Jennie shook her head at each of Jisoo's utterances. "I don't want to live anymore. I want to kill myself." she murmured against Jisoo's chest.

"No, Jennie. Do you think that you can solve this when you do something bad to yourself? Do you think Lisa will be happy when you do that? Yes, she's hurt now, but I know she will not ask you to please you badly."

"After what I have done to her, do you think she still loves me? No, unnie, I know she hates me now. I turned her into this broken mess. I fucked her up, and I remember every single word I said. How I made her feel like a waste of space."

Jisoo shakes her head as she lifts her chin to look at her. "Jennie, don't think that way. You will never know. You'll never know what she could have been, and neither will I. You made a choice. I know she can forgive practically anything, but what hurts is the lie you told her. She thinks you lied about never loving her. But the truth is, nobody can equal your devotion for her." She smoothed Jennie's now tangled hair and wiped tears from her cheeks.

Jennie pulls away from the hug and leans her back against the passenger seat, a broken chuckle curling on the corner of her mouth. "How horrible that Destiny purposefully played us. I had wanted her for a long time, but suddenly I left her."

"In the greatness of our relationship and how strong we were, it didn't come to my mind that we would come to this end. I lost her. I've lost the Precious Brightest Star. Why are we never ready for this, unnie?" Jennie added, as she gets irritated, wiping her tears that never stop escaping her eyes.

Jisoo sighed, "Because we're in denial. We believe it won't happen. But really, Jen, it's better if you two stay out of each other's lives first to find your strengths. Maybe one day, when everything has settled down, you can get back together again. Love will find a way if the two of you were really meant to be together."

Lisa arrived at the mansion with Rosé, who was holding her waist for support. She is still catching her breath as she walks inside.

Mrs. Manoban was with herself on the dining table, taking her late lunch alone. She realised that her daughter was walking weakly through the stairs. So she stopped spooning herself and drank the glass of water. She stood up and walked her way to Rosé, who looked really worried. The eyes were also puffy.

"Rosé, what happened?" Mrs. Manoban asked, confused.

"I think you should figure it out by yourself, auntie. I'll be here."

Mrs. Manoban nodded and went to her daughter's room. When she reached the door, she turned the knob slowly and saw her daughter sobbing hard against the pillow.
