This was posted earlier than expected, but don't expect that so often, most of the time I am lazy AF
Anyways, enjoy
In the outskirts of town, in a morning someone in particular was starting her new day. Cowgirl was just waking up, it was about 6 am, and her normal routine consisted of waking up, help in the farm, take care of the cows and just doing miscellaneous tasks until the sun sets.
She got out of bed and looked at the window besides her bed, sure as every other morning Gehrman was checking for footprints of goblins. He once explained her why he does that and it was because 'Beasts move in night time and go back to their caves by dawn, but when planning an attack they would scout first the area, footprints are a signal they are going to attack'
As far as she knew, Gehrman's routine was of waking up very early, before sun rises and checking the surroundings. Then he would check the fence and repair any holes or damages the fence could have and after that have breakfast. He would then leave on to his so called 'hunts'. She never knew what he meant completely until she, one day finally asked. 'Hunts, in other words I just go and kill monsters that have any residue of beastly energy, these beasts that have Beast energy are very weak at first, but if let grow will be very dangerous. Beasts have the capabilities to mutate and become very powerful in only months.'
She met Gehrman about three years from now. It was very simple; goblins attacked, they were about to die, and then he appeared. He completely butchered all the goblins and helped her and her uncle repair the farm. He helped to rebuild the farm, a task that could have taken months at worse, in the span of a single week. He got nothing from helping us, there was no request to kill the goblins at the time so the guild would not care, and we were very short on coin at the time. When we asked him why help them when he would get nothing from this he responded with 'Helping people is also the task of a hunter' They did not understand even now what he meant.
Because they could not let him just walk away empty handed, they offered him a place to stary, which he gladly accepted, he explained that until then, he had been living in the forest. They did not question him any further, looking at his troubled expression when he said that. She got dressed and went outside, Gehrman had just finished checking the fence. She smiled and waved at him, he turned in her direction
"Want to go get breakfast?" She asked in her usual cheery tone, Gehrman nodded
"I would like that please"
TIME SKIP
When they finished breakfast Gehrman stood up and took a bag of coins from his side
"Here" He handed the bag to Cow girl's uncle and he tried to refuse at first but Gehrman sure had a silver tongue for this things.
"I have no use for it, you can use it better than I would." He was not lying, messengers got stuff out of thin air, and only accept blood echoes for currency. The little guys could find anything and everything in a matter of seconds, and for a reasonable price, they would sell it.
We are talking bullets, weapons, consumables, armor, and then they would sell things that have no use for the hunt, such as; clothes, food, materials, and even toys, friking toys. This are just some examples, and trust me dear reader that if you were to ask them to sell you Donal trump's hair, they would get it and sell it in a matter of seconds.Continuing the story, Cow girl's uncle had no choice but to accept the money, he knew how persistent he could be in these matters.
Gehrman then stood up and made for the door, Cow girl also stood up and went after him
