Alec Henderson

It was past midnight and he hadn't slept one bit, his thoughts kept him awake. There he was sitting by the window looking at the moon, it was at this moments that he wished he had someone to talk to, someone who could understand what he felt.

He looked at his phone it was 3:30 a.m.

The emptiness he was feeling was driving him mad, mostly because he couldn't understand it. He had everything yet if felt like he didn't have anything. Did it make sense? He didn't know.

Time passed and he was getting desperate, all he wanted was to to fill the emptiness. And it was taking away his happiness, he wasn't feeling as happy as he used to be. It was just driving him mad. What was his missing piece?

At some point he went back to bed and fell asleep.

Alec woke up with the sound of his alarm, he felt tired the lack of sleep made him loose energy. But he had to keep going.

He had finished highschool last year and had moved to an apartment close to his university. It was also not far from where he lived, when he didn't have classes he worked at the restuarant with his dad, while his mom stayed at home with the twins, untill they could find a babysitter.

It was 6:00 a.m. he had class at 9. He went in his morning run, it helped clear his mind. All of a sudden his phone rings.

"Hello", he says.

"Morning sweetie", his mom said.

"Morning mom", he smiles.

"Listen your father and I have a important event at night, and I need you to stay with the twins, the girl that was going to babysitt us got sick. And we couldn't find anyone in such short notice.", she sighed.

"It's okay mom, I'll come by at 6".

"Thank you Alec, remember to eat fruits at breakfeast and to study. Mommy loves youu", she makes kiss sounds.

"Mom!, I'm not 4 anymore", he laughes. "I love you to, see you later".

"Bye".

He had always been really close to his mom, sinse he used to be the only child. He also had a good relationship with his dad. He had good parents.

After he finished his run, he took a shower, got dressed and made breakfeast.

As he sat at the table eating, the thoughts from the previous night came rushing in. He tried to shake them away but they wouldn't go. The he felt lonely and his heart ached.

He looked at his phone he had a few messeges, but he shut if off, he didn't feel like talking with anyone.

Is not that his friends weren't good, it was that none of them would understand what he was going through. They would think it's silly. He needed someone that could listen and understand, someone who won't make him alone. If only he knew where that person was.

He was getting tired of feeling like this, his heart felt heavy and his mind full of thoughts, that felt like it could burst anytime now. Time kept on passing and it was getting more unbearable. He didn't know ho much longer he could keep on like this.
