"I'm so surprised you came! You always be so busy and shit." Nicki said hugging me

I smiled and hugged back, "Yea, I got a little downtime for the next few days."

"Good, that's good."

"Ya party bumpin' I see." Mel said looking around

"Yea, I'd hope. I invited hella people."

I felt my phone vibrate and a familiar name appeared on my screen.

I put my phone on do not disturb and turned my head to see a table full of bottles.

"I'm gonna get a drink, i'll be back." I said walking away

"Oou, yes, start the night off right!" I heard Nicki call out from behind me

I didn't need or want the thought of Kehlani in my head. Not tonight. Whether she was lying about her whereabouts or not, I needed to stop caring so much. I grabbed a cup and poured some Cola in first followed by some Henny: my go to drink.

After a few sips, I went back for more. And a few sips became gulps, and then eventually, I was hella buzzed.

"Don't you wanna slow down on the drinks mama?" Mel asked

I shook my head, "No. I'm good."

I stood up from where I was sitting to fill my cup back up. I began making my way back to the drinks.

"Rihanna?" I heard someone say

I turned my head and was greeted by Solána.

I smiled, "Oh my...you!"

Solána and I dated for awhile until she broke it off because we got to a point where we'd fight and argue every day. It was always over me getting jealous and being overly possessive, but i've gotten better with that now.

She laughed a bit and walked over to hug me, "You drunk already, huh?"

I laughed, "Damn near, my bad." I hugged her back

She smiled, "Nah, have ya fun, baby. It's been so long since we spoke though."

"Yea, ya know I got this business and shit now."

"Yea, yea, i'm so proud of you."

I nodded, "You here alone?"

"Yea, just came to support Nicki ya know."

"Mhm."

"What about you? Mel here?"

"Yea, she somewhere. I think Normani here too." I said looking around, "I gotta get another drink though, so..."
