Tippi's POV
I was up in my room, laying on my bed playing with my laptop when Mom knocked on my door.
"Ah Tippi, Matt's at the door." She told me.
Fuck, he was at the door, shit.
I jumped up, I looked like absolute crap, I hadn't been taking the best care of myself and now he was at my fucking door.
"What does he want?" Mom asked me, watching me pull a brush through my hair.
I'd failed to mention to her anything about Matt, she didn't know Jim and I had broken up because of Matt and Becca, it was an awkward situation, how could I possibly explain it to anyone.
"Go tell him I'm coming, please." I asked her.
She raised her eyebrows at me but turned and walked out.
I glanced in the mirror, I wanted to look okay, but not too okay that he actually thought I cared.
I took a deep breath and walked downstairs, he was standing there talking to mom, and oh god, he looked so good.
He turned and smiled at me."Tippi, how have you been."
"Oh good thanks. You?" I sounded so damn formal.
He shrugged. "Can we talk?"
"I guess, we can go for a walk." I suggested.
He agreed and we headed out, it was a nice afternoon.
We walked for awhile in silence until I couldn't handle it anymore.
"What do you want Matt?" I asked, turning to him.
"I just wanted to see you, you just left, you didn't say anything."
"The situation was out of control, I needed to take a step back." I needed to clear my head.
"I'm selling the house." He blurted.
He what? "What? Why?"
"A fresh start."
I just stood there, I really didn't know what to say.
"I'm staying around for a few days Tippi, I'd really like to spend that time with you."
I nodded. "I guess."
"You know we have something, so please don't deny it, I don't plan on leaving here without you." He was looking at me, smiling.
I smiled back, not sure what to say.
"So lets go back, you can get changed and we'll go for dinner."
"I'd like that." I said, turning to head back.
"Oh and Tippi." He said.
"Yes?" I asked, turning around.
He pulled me into his arm's and kissed me, and it felt right just like I'd remembered.
