Becca's POV
I had met up with a couple of old friends and we were hanging out at a bar having a couple of beers. It was nice to catch up with them because it had literally been 12 years since I'd seen any of them. They were all pretty much married and had a kid or two, much to my dismay because I really wanted to be married and have at least one child. I knew that wouldn't happen any time soon because I had no one. I lost Matt, Jimmy wasn't interested in me, and all of the guys I used to have any interest in back home were already in relationships or married. Looked like I'd be dying alone.
“You alright, Becca?” My friend Amanda asked.
“Yeah I'm alright. Just upset about everything that happened in Cali.”
“I understand. Not everything will work out. Maybe it was meant to be that you came back here.”
I shrugged. “Maybe.”
She gave me a reassuring smile and pulled me into a hug.
“Things will get better. Don't worry.”
“Thank you,” I smiled.
She nodded and we all ordered a couple rounds of shots. By the time we got through them all I was already gone. Hammered to the point where I was stumbling all over the place.
“I think we should get you home,” my friend Dan chuckled.
“Yeah maybe.”
As we walked out of the bar I saw an all too familiar face sitting outside on a bench.
“Jimmy?”
He looked over at me and instantly got to his feet.
“Becca!”
He came over to me and I practically collapsed into him.
“Jeez how much have you had to drink?” He chuckled.
“A lot.”
“Becca can we please talk?”
“Sure.”
He smiled at me and gently pressed his lips to mine. I giggled and wrapped my arms around his neck.
“Oh Jimmy you are so sexy.”
“Thank you,” he laughed.
I turned to my friends and smiled.
“This is Jimmy. He's from California. Though, I don't even know how he found me,” I giggled.
“I'll tell you about that later,” he smiled.
“Alright, Becca. Well we wish you luck. We'll talk to you later.”
“Okay.”
I gave them all a quick hug before letting Jimmy lead me to his rental car. After we were in, he started driving. He ended up driving to a motel and he helped me out of the car before bringing me to his room. I sat on the bed and looked up at him.
“What'd you wanna talk about, Jim?”
“Us,” he smiled, sitting next to me. “But I think I'd rather wait til you're sober, so let's go to sleep and we'll talk tomorrow, okay?”
“Okay Jim.”
I gave him a kiss before stripping down to just my bra and panties and crawling into bed. He stripped to just his boxers and climbed in next to me, wrapping me tightly in his arms. I smiled to myself and rested my head on his chest before closing my eyes and letting sleep take over.
