The sound of rain had always been soothing to Sirius Black. Whenever he heard the sound of the rain hitting a window a sense of calm instantly washed over him. Perhaps he had fallen in love with the soothing nature of rain as a young child. Having spent countless hours locked in his room, he had grown accustomed to the sound. While not many things had brought a sense of comfort to the man during his times at Azkaban, he at least had the comfort of the rain.

Throughout Sirius's life, rain had always been something to bring the man peace. So, when Albus Dumbledore requested to meet with Sirius, he was glad to look out the window of his former childhood home and see that it was raining. The weather was able to calm all the nerves Sirius was currently experience. while the rain was able to calm his nerves, it didn't stop the man from being curious.

Another thing about Sirius Orion Black was his curiosity. Throughout his childhood, Sirius's curiosity had gotten him in loads of trouble. Some of which resulted in further disconnect with his family. His curiosity only grew as he entered his school years. Hogwarts was the perfect playground for the curious and rebellious boy.

Currently Sirius black was seated in the kitchen of Grimmauld Place. As he taped his fingers on the table, he couldn't help letting his mind go over the reason as to why Dumbledore had requested a meeting with him. Was there an issue with Harry, his Godson? Or a new task for the order, specifically him. Sirius hoped Dumbledore would give him a task to complete, he had grown bored of being stuck in the dark house. Stuck living in the place that brought him so much pain throughout his childhood he just wished to be able to go outside, to be truly free.

"You're nervous." Across the room, Remus Lupin was leaning on the countertop, stirring a cup of hot chocolate. Looking at Sirius with a slight smirk playing on his lips. Sirius couldn't help but laugh at his friend.

It was hard for both men to think that they were the only two left from their former group of friends, or brothers as they like to call themselves.

"Rubbish. I am never nervous, I actually have nerves of steel. You should know this my dear Moony." With the roll of his eyes, Remus made his way over and sat next to his friend.

"Oh, is that true? I distinctly remember seeing you nervous on quite a few occasions." Feigning shock, Sirius moved his hand to his chest in such a dramatic fashion that only a Black could pull off.

Before either could respond the sound of someone clearing their throat echoed throughout the room. The two men turned around to the doorway of the kitchen only to see the man they had been waiting for. Albus Dumbledore stood in the doorway looking over at his two former students. "Good evening boys. The weather tonight is quite fitting, don't you think?"

"I'm not sure what you mean professor, what does the weather have to do with anything?" Remus moved his gaze from his former headmaster over to his friend who simply shrugged and shared a similar look of confusion.

"I'm sure you two are wondering why I call this meeting." Seeing both men nod their heads, the older man continued. "Well actually, I had originally asked to speak with you, Sirius, but after further thought, I realized it would be best if you had the support of someone you trust here as well."

Dumbledore preceded to sit in the chair across the table from the two men. A slight wave of tension had filled the air. While stillbith confused, they listening intently as their former headmaster continued.

"Now, I understand the news I have come to share will be shocking and invoke a lot of emotion among the two for you. Especially you Sirius, but it is something I must to tell you." While Sirius claimed that he was never one to get nervous, he was proving otherwise.
