Hi!
So, this is my first book ever, so please be kind in the comments section. Also English is not my first language so there will be grammar mistakes in there.
I've also mentioned that there will be mentions of suicide, self-harm and depression in this story, so please read at your own risk.
P.S. this is a boyxboy story meaning there would be a boy x boy action thrown in here, so if you're not comfortable with that then don't read this story. Thank you!
Enjoy the book!

Noah Mitchell
I've never given much thought about my future. I don't know what college I will go to or if I'm even going at all. But with my final year in high school, I'm feeling the pressure. All my friends have already started applying to several universities while I spend my free time in my room watching stupid Youtube videos.
I'll miss my friends for sure. We've been together for what feels like forever. It's going to be hard not being with them for the years to come.
A month before our graduation we decided to skip our Friday class and drive Thomas' car out of town and go camping.
I was told that it would only be a one night camp type of thing. Camping was not my idea, it was Corey's. He said that it was therapeutic or some shit that he always say.
I don't think any of us, besides Corey, wanted to go camping, but all of our ideas are shit. I've suggested a stripper bar which got me a slap on the back of my head by Thomas and a howl of appreciation by Jeff. Caleb on the other hand suggested a fun fair nearby, and unsurprisingly none of us agreed to that idea.
We all have different personalities but we miraculously clicked together.
Thomas is like a father who's responsible about everything, he never goes out without a first aid kid in his bag and rarely drinks.
Caleb is our baby, we are all very protective of him.
Jeff is the nasty one, who says inappropriate jokes at all times, Corey is philosophical and optimistic about everything, and I am the bad boy of the group, the most handsomest person there is (although none of them would agree with me).
While all of them had serious relationships, including Jeff, I on the other hand, loves flings and one-night stands. I don't want commitments, not until I'm at least 30.
The situation inside the car was a disaster.
Thomas is driving, and Corey is in the passenger seat. Leaving the three immature ones, Caleb, Jeff and me, in the back seat all squished up and uncomfortable, with our bags and camping gears in our laps.
The drive was only for 4 hours and Jeff somehow ends up 'accidentally' punching Caleb on the cheeks.
Right now I'm complaining about my butt, and how it aches so bad because I haven't moved for the last 4 hours.
"Would you three just shut up?" Thomas said exasperated, he looks at us in the rear-view mirror. I huffed and crossed my arms, looking at the window.
While Caleb and Jeff kept on bickering about who gets to eat the last cookie that we all shared moments ago. I took a long sigh and finally musked up the courage to get the damn cookie and eat the damn thing.
Caleb and Jeff both looked at me wide-eyed, I could hear Corey laughing at the three of us. I smiled at them while I still have a mouthful of cookie "WHAUUUT?".
Caleb squinted his eyes at me. "You monster!" he yelled pointing an accusing finger at my chest while Jeff proceeded to slap me on my arm over and over again.
We acted like that for 2 minutes and then Thomas blows his whistle that he somehow got because...... he's a boy scout? I don't know.
"Stop acting like children, we're here!" Thomas said, pulling in a camping site.
The car came to a stop as I observed the surroundings. There are some people gathered, getting ready to climb up the gigantic mountain, the sun peeking out of it.
All three of us in the back almost pushed each other to get out of the small compartment.
As I exited the car I inhaled the fresh air and closed my eyes, almost getting teary-eyed for finally stretching my legs.
My eyes wander to the surrounding green around me. I have to squint my eyes to see the peak of the mountain that we have to tackle ahead. This is going to be an excruciating 24 hours for me.
"Really Corey, Why do you pick such a high mountain?" I said still looking at the mountain, my hands protecting my eyes from the sun blaring directly at us.
"What do you mean? This is one of the easiest hikes there is, according to the site." he said, while rummaging through his backpack.
I shared a worried glance with Thomas, who just shrugged his shoulders in return, as he buckled his own backpack securely to him.
I proceeded to grab my own bag and checked everything that I needed from it: Water, 3 chocolate granola bars, and a change of clothes.
I don't need to worry about the other stuff like blankets and the tent we would be sleeping in, because Thomas had it all packed up and since Jeff is the biggest one out of the group he was voted to lift everything all the way up to the mountain peak. I honestly felt bad for him.
I looked around and saw that a lot of people had started to huddle up and prepare for the hike. I have to say, for something as tiring as hiking a lot of people really wanted to do it.
There are different kinds of people here: lone hikers, friends, families, there's even some kids. What kind of torture are these parents putting their children into?
I shook my head and walked with my friends towards the swarm of people. There's a tour guide passing around a souvenir bag tag with a picture of the mountain in it. I saw Caleb struggling to put his tag on the zipper of his bag and I chuckled to myself, I put mine in my pocket.
Another tour guide was shouting out instructions like: 'don't throw away your trash in the mountains' 'if you need to pee there's three separate portable restrooms in the peak' 'always stay with your group'.
"Well, this is going to be fun." Jeff said, after he nudged me on the shoulder. I looked at him and saw his contorted face already exhausted from the heavy bags.
"I don't know Jeff, it could be." I said beaming at him. He gave me a confused look, he knows we both hated this idea. Behind me the people have already started to walk up at the foot of the mountain.
"I mean... Seeing you suffer is a lot of fun!" I said walking backwards then I turned. I could hear Jeff shouting profanities at me while still struggling with the bags. I laughed loudly making sure he heard me.
