Shit.I stumbled all the way to where Elliot is. He was standing in a flat surface, at least a lot flatter than where I was a second ago.
He tried to dodge my falling body. That little asshole. But I grabbed him by his goddamn leather jacket and the both of us fell down the dirty mountain floor. Me on top of him.
He groaned under me, slowly moving his body. My adrenaline is still kicking in, my pupils dilated and the beats of my heart is like thunder.
"I told you I'm going to fall down." I raised an accusatory finger in his face. His curly hair is flopped into the floor, his blue eyes conveying a look of shock. Then he suddenly chuckled.
My heart started hammering in my chest. Not because of the way his body moved underneath me but because I did nearly died.
He suddenly moved, trying to sit up. He pushed me slightly, getting the message I get off of him. He sits in the floor and tried to catch his breath, I did the same.
He sighed, then I sighed. Suddenly he was laughing hysterically. I looked at him confused.
"My God! You are the clumsiest person I have ever met!" he said, his eyes glinting. I chuckled too, even if he was laughing at me. I tried to fix my hair that was all over the place.
"You should meet Jeff, my friend, that guy can't even walk straight without bumping into things." I said, shaking my head. I looked at him.
The sun is fully down now. The moonlight illuminating in his face is fucking gorgeous. I am jealous of this guy.
My thoughts were interrupted when he stood up, brushed the dirt on his pants and jacket then offered me his hand.
I took it.
"I should say, I am not normally this clumsy." I said, brushing the dirt in my own pants. I looked at him, his face indicating that he didn't believe me.
"I am not clumsy. It's just this stupid mountain, and it's stupid trail, and it's stupid rocks." I gestured my arms towards the stupid mountain.
Seriously I have only received bad luck since I hiked it.

Elliot and I have been walking for hours now, it's much harder to trek this mountains especially because we have no light source.
The only light we have now is a flashlight that Elliot gave me hours ago. We are walking side by side, trying to see the path.
We weren't really talking, both focused on the path ahead. But I really can't stand the silence so I once again broke it.
"So why were you in juvie?" I asked. I figured I at least should find out if this guy is dangerous or not.
He stopped for a second, looked at me, then kept walking. I followed his steps.
He was silent for awhile. The only thing that could be heard was the shuffling of our feet and the noises of the crickets surrounding us.
"I beat up my dad." he said, nonchalantly, as if that was the most normal thing he could've ever said. I looked at him, once again his face was blank. Like nothing affected him.
"Oh. Okay." I don't really know what to say. Seriously, what do you say to that?
I fixed my eyes into the path ahead.
"Aren't you going to ask me why?" he asked. I glanced at him again, his eyebrows are scrunched up. The blue in his eyes are darker.
I shook my head. "I'm pretty sure you have a reason." I said letting my hand brush his for a second. He retracted his hand quickly and rubs his neck.
I cleared my throat to make up for the sudden awkward tension we had.
Stupid hand.
"Or I could be a psychopath that just likes to hear the cracking of people's bones." he joked, his voice sounds eerily giddy.
I looked at him suspiciously. He had a small smile playing in his lips. I find myself smiling as well.
"Ha. Ha. Very funny." I said. Rolling my eyes at him. He laughed loudly. His whole body shaking, his arms bumping into me.
I find myself smiling at that fact, at the slight contact of his leather jacket to my own skin. I liked it.
He stopped laughing now, but every once in a while I can still hear him chuckling to himself.
"No. But seriously my dad's just a dick." he said, in a whispery tone. As if anyone could hear us.
I glanced at him again and nudged his shoulder. "Well, I'm glad I'm not walking with a psychopath, in the middle of the woods at night." I said, keeping the light tone of our converstions. He chuckled again.
"I didn't say I wasn't a psychopath." he was extremely serious while saying that. His face void of all emotions.
I rolled my eyes and punched him lightly in his arms. He started laughing hysterically again.
"Shut up!"
