I walked out of the bedroom and started walking through the hallways. Turning a corner I saw Alice. "Hello, Raven."
I slightly curtsied. "Queen mother. Please forgive me for what I did in the throne room. I- "
She held her hand up. "I understand sweetheart. You are worried about your friend. There's nothing to forgive."
I smiled. "Thank you."
She nodded. "I was going to take a walk in the garden, would you like to join me?"
"Xavier said I wasn't allowed outside and I don't think me getting knocked out this many times is healthy."
She chuckled. "I won't let my son do anything. Please join me." I nodded and we walked through the hallways and out the door. She walked us further away from the castle towards a garden with an open grass field in front of flowers, tall trees, and a small pond. "Beautiful isn't it?"
"Yeah, it is." I looked up and saw the full moon was out. "Strange. The moon is extremely close and it looks as it would if it was night."
She looked up as well. "That is strange."
That's when a stream of silver glowing light shot into Alice. The light surrounded her before disappearing. Now instead of Alice, standing before me was a beautiful young woman seemingly only a few years older than me with long white hair in a french braid braided down the side. She had sparkling silver eyes and white Porcelain skin. She wore a long silver flowing dress. Her skin was covered with beautiful white swirl design tattoos. She breathed in a deep breath before laughing and jumping up and down. "It worked! It worked! I can't believe it worked." She cheered spinning in a circle with her arms out wide. her voice sounded so familiar but I couldn't remember where I heard it.
"What the fuck?" I breathed out.
She turned to me and smiled. "Oh I'm sorry, it's just that I haven't been in this realm in centuries." She chuckled.
"Right... who are you again?"
She chuckled. "I forgot you don't know much about this world. My name is Lun, I'm the moon goddess."
I scoffed. "The moon goddess?"
She nodded. "why? What's wrong with the moon?"
"Nothing," I said. "It just doesn't sound all that believable. Like I can get behind werewolves and witches but goddesses? Not so much."
She chuckled. "So my appearing in a stream of light wasn't proof enough?"
I pursed my lips. "You have a point. You were in my head when I was disobeying Xavier, you kept me from surrendering." She smiled and nodded. "Well, your holiness?"
She chuckled. "You can just call me Lun."
"Right," I said. "Lun, what are you doing here?"
"I came to speak to you." She said. "You are an important part of a plan I'm working on, but first it appears you need my help."
"What plan?" I asked.
She smiled and shook her head slightly. "All in due time my child. I'd like to just talk with you first."
"All right."
She turned around and started walking. When she saw I wasn't following she turned her head. "Are you coming, my child?"
I nodded and jogged up to her. We walked through the garden side by side. She walked us over to a small stone bench and sat down. She patted the seat next to her. I sat down beside her. "So what did you want to talk to me about?"
