Thank you @Thisbe85 for the feedback on my story! I'm glad you love Drew and Regina and I'm super glad my stories have helped you in some ways!
A stone gothic tower castle stood tall on an ache of green grass. Horses grazed the fields while men and women spared by throwing spells at each other. We walked up to the lion door handled gate. "So... how do we get in?"
Donnie cleared his throat and popped his collar. "I got this." he stepped to the gate holding up his hands. "Open Sesame." I whacked him upside the head. "Oww," he whined rubbing the back of his head.
"Open sesame is not going to work idiot."
"Actually Raven, I believe if you say it in Latin it will open for you," said Serena. "Well, maybe not the sesame part."
"Aperire (open)," I breathed out. The door creaked open. I turned to Donnie and stuck my tongue out at him. He rolled his eyes crossing his arms like a little kid. Serena pulled his arms apart to hold his hand. We walked inside to see Iroek waiting for us. "Iroek!"
"Welcome Welcome," he said to us. I walked over to him grabbing his outreached hands. He pulled me to him kissing my cheeks. "And my beautiful niece, how are you?"
"I'm very well and I'm very excited to meet your parents and my grandparents."
He smiled sadly at me. "Would you like to hear a story?" I nodded. "My mother is Queen Xena of the light witches. She was a lady of the house of Alne and when the king did not find his mate, she was made his queen. Her first husband was the light King Cryus of the house of Mercer. Lilliana de Alne Mercer, your mother, was their first and only child making her the sole heir to the throne."
"And are they not your parents?"
"In the war, King Cryus was killed by King Kasper of the dark witches. To be able to take the throne without the light witches striking back, he had to take a light queen. Luckily for him, Queen Xena was his mate. His claim to the throne was justified by his mating with her. They had me, making me the secondary heir to the throne after Lilliana"
"So my grandfather died at the hands of your father?" he nodded. "But my grandmother is alive?" he nodded again. "Well, at least I get to meet her."
"Yes, they are expecting you. I didn't tell you who you are just that Xavier wished to speak to them."
"Why wouldn't you tell them who she is?"
"My father won't take kindly to someone trying to take his throne and he wouldn't take a meeting if he knew," Iroek said. "But he will take a meeting from the king who helped him take the crown."
Iroek led us to the throne room pushing open the big wooden doors. Iroek walked to his throne beside the queen. She was a beautiful older looking yet a youthfully beautiful woman with a depressed look in her eyes. I tried to find similarities with my mother in her but all I could see was her eye color and she had the same look in her eyes that my mother always seemed to have when she thought no one was watching. Beside her was an older man with a powerful and dark aura. "Alpha King Xavier and princess Serena, Welcome."
"King Kasper, I thank you for allowing us this honor."
"And I see you have brought your mate." his eyes moved to me. He looked me over his eyes twinkling with recognition. "Have we met before darling?"
"No, sir."
The queen finally looked up and gasped. "Lilliana."
"Lilliana? Please," Kasper scoffed. "Your bastard daughter is dead and the world is better because of it."
