-Major Spoilers for Danganronpa Despair Girls-

All eyes were glued to the screen. Makoto's sister was stuck with what would seem like an obvious choice. "Are you telling me that Towa's daughter is behind all this?!" I looked back at Makoto, who shook his head in disbelief. To think that an elementary student would be the mastermind behind the Towa City situation; an Ultimate child nonetheless.

A sea of adults was yelling for children's blood and for her to break the mastermind's controller. The ones in the room were yelling opposite things. "Please don't break that controller, Komaru," I pleaded to myself. I could feel the despair in that room leaking through our monitors. "Kyoko, is a rescue team ready for departure?"

"No, we've been on standby".

"Get a team together and we'll signal when to move out," I looked at Makoto, "Do I have your permission?"

Makoto smiled, "Always. Do what you need to do". People hustled out of the control room with Kyoko gathering names for preparation. I stayed behind to watch the horror unfold. The walls were busted open by a massive Monokuma, Towa's daughter was under rubble, and the girls had to find Byakuya in the massive aircraft as it sailed out of the sky.

"Hey," Makoto sat next to me, "why don't you go rest for a bit? We'll make sure they come back to us".

I was falling asleep in my own arms, trying to convince myself I was fine. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea". I stood up, feeling my joints crack. I stumbled my way out of the room and eventually into my room.

I felt every ache as the hot water pelted my body but was soothed by the steam. I had just rinsed the shampoo out of my hair when a knock came from the bathroom door. "Who is it?"

"Kyoko. I have good news!" She spoke loudly above the streams of water. "You were right to prepare a rescue team. Byakuya is talking with Makoto right now."

My heart stopped. If had stayed in that room any longer, I could've answered the transmission.

"Do you want to speak with him? I can request them to wait until you're available".

I wanted to. My heart ached with how badly I wanted to speak with him. I shook my head, "No, I'm sure he wouldn't like me interfering with his work," I started laughing to myself.

"Is she busy?" Makoto looked behind Kyoko, confused.

"She's in the shower, but she claims her reasoning is because she 'didn't want to interfere with Byakuya's work'," Kyoko didn't fully understand why it was funny, but she grinned anyway.

Makoto looked at Byakuya, even more confused. "Is she mad at you?"

"It's none of your concern, but," Byakuya paused, a smile creeping over his lips, "Who would've thought she would use my own words against me?" He was laughing, trying to cover the heat in his cheeks.
