[ 2 WEEKS LATER ]

NARI STOPPED receiving texts messages from lucas since that day onwards. it has been two weeks, since she's heard from the boy. and to be honest? she kind of missed him and his texts.

of course, it's her fault too, because she had every opportunity to talk to him. but of course, once again, she was scared. or embarrassed. there really is no denying that nari still had feelings for lucas.

but it's okay, right? because graduation is coming soon, in a week, and she's going to see him again and it's all going to be alright. when graduation comes, her heart will soon be at ease again.

[ ONE WEEK LATER ]

"im genuinely crying, do you think this looks good on me? i want everyone to remember me," jihoon whined, jumping up and down as he adjusted his tie in front of the mirror, right next to nari, he needed her help for him to look good.

when mark walked into nari's room, he was in the exact same outfit as jihoon, a navy blue suit and a tie. jihoon dropped his comb, and stomped his feet in anger. mark did the same. "damn it!" they both yelled in frustration together in unison.

nari just laughed to herself. "how do you guys, out of many colours, get the exact same outfit with the exact same tie?" she asked the two of her best friends. they both just groaned in disgust. "are you not going to change?" mark asks.

nari shakes her head. "i dont think im going," she answers the question. the two boys left their jaws wide open. "the only reason why youre going is to see lucas one more time before yall graduate, right?" jihoon grinned, mark rolled his eyes.

"stop exposing me! im going because of you guys! i want to dance with my bestfriends!" nari sarcastically remarked, jokingly punching the shoulders of the two of them.

as nari was trying to make jihoon look good, mark was rummaging through her closet, trying to find a dress nari would look amazing in.

and in the end, he picked out a blue flow-y dress, so that the three of them could match. it'll be like best friend goals. he threw the dress on her and she went to the toilet to change. while the two boys waited for the girl to come out, jihoon asked mark a question.

"your heart still beats for her, dude?" he nonchalantly asked, while adjusting his hair, looking himself in the mirror. mark was taken aback, it has been about one month, ever since he stopped feeling things for nari. but when jihoon asked that question, it started to make him feel weird again.

"shut up, bro," was all mark could say. jihoon laughed. mark didnt ask why. when nari finally came into the room, she looked extra stunning, the blue brought out her eyes and her wavy hair was beautiful and her natural makeup just looked - amazing. all in all, she looked gorgeous.

and mark couldnt control the beat of his heart when he saw her standing in front of him like that. "nice, right?" she asked. at that moment, mark really couldnt answer, so all he did was let jihoon do the job. and jihoon reassured her that she looked beautiful.

when nari left to find a shoe to match her outfit, jihoon let out an effortless laugh, again. this time, mark asked why. all jihoon did was, "you dont have to answer, i kinda already know the answer," he says, before patting mark on the back and leaving the room to find nari.

[ DURING THE PARTY ]

when nari sat down on one of the chairs in the hall, she took a sip of her water, watching her two best friends trying to talk to some girls, but failing miserably, not for jihoon though, he was doing good. but mark kept stumbling on his words, girls find that unamusing.

not gonna lie, in a crowd, her eyes still tried to find lucas, but she couldnt. that's weird, lucas would never miss anything that requires a lot of attention. it was even weirder because his group of rugby friends were all having the time of their lives without him.

nari just felt like pulling out her phone and texting lucas where he was. but she couldnt bring herself to do it. in her, she wanted to do because it felt like that was going to be the last time she would ever see him, and she felt like taking her chances right then and there.

but she didnt. instead, she just sat there, continuing to look at her two best friends trying to find girls. instead, she just sat there, taking a few sips of her water. everyone who looked at nari would think that she liked being alone.

but nari was just—  reminiscing her memories with lucas.

and lucas? what else could he be doing?

[ LUCAS'S HOUSEHOLD ]

"yukhei! are you ready?" his mom shouts from the kitchen as she walks in and out of the house, putting huge boxes filled with her clothes into a loading van. lucas hummed, acknowledging her. "just a minute!" he yells, as he writes down the last sentence on a note.

i'm sorry, that it has come to this. i'm sorry, that i was such a coward. you do realize that i'll always love you, right?
w.yukhei

lucas pursed his lips, sealing the note with a piece of envelope. his eyes were getting watery. before putting his box of things into the van, he slid that envelope into the mailbox that was outside of his frontyard.

he took one last look at his house. his mom stood beside him, hugging him tightly, she softly kissed his forehead, "im sorry you cant go to your graduation, im sorry you cant get to see the girl before you leave," she softly whispered.

and at that moment, a tear dropped from lucas's eyes.
