Chapter 18 ~ The Truth

" That's True, so my question for you is...

Why did you break up with Luna? "

Jimins face turned into a serious look at Taehyungs truth. He looked around everywhere trying to find an excuse not to say anything but he had nothing. He finally came to terms that he would have to finally admit to Luna why they broke up.

" Okay, fine..." Jimin said lifelessly.

" It's a dumb reason I know and now I have to live with it. If I could take it back I would... " Jimin said twiddling his fingers.

" I broke up with Luna because I wanted to protect myself. I know it's selfish and I don't deserve any pity. I knew she had got a scholarship into the Art school away from Seoul because I overheard a conversation with her and Eva "

" Jimin... " Luna said feeling a bit empathetic.

" No don't feel sorry for me... so to basically summarise it up, I broke up with Luna because I didn't want to feel like she was leaving me. I thought that if I broke it off it would have less of an impact on me... It wasn't because I didn't love her, it was the opposite " Jimin said slightly sighing avoiding eye contact with everyone.

Everyone sat with their heads low and in silence. No one knew how to act after Jimins confession. Jimin looked up to Luna who's head was also lowered. He could see a tear from her eye dripping down onto her cheek.

Jimin immediately got up and walked into the house wanting to avoid the awkwardness. It was a smart idea of Hoseok to get Jimin to do a truth since he would never share his feelings.

Luna and everyone else witnessed Jimin getting up and leaving. She had an urge to run up to him and give him a hug but she knew that that would make everything worse.

Luna felt a little satisfied after Jimins confession because she now finally knows why they broke up. She also couldn't help but feel a little guilty since she assumed that he probably cheated or he never loved her to start with.

" Wait what about Jin and Ella? " Taehyung smirked looking at everyone in a circle.

" Aw well, anyway, does anyone want to join me in the pool? " Hoseok said brushing the question off and taking off his shirt walking over to the pool.

Everyone else had followed them except Luna. She stayed back sitting down on one of the lounge chairs as she watched everyone else splashing around and having fun.

After a while she looked up to see Jimin leaning against his balcony with his shades on watching everyone else. Building up the courage Luna leaves the lounge and walks into the house.

Luna walks upstairs to the room where Jimin is and walks into the room. Jimin was still in the same place before so she assumed he never saw her leaving where she was. Luna opened the glass door sliding it along so she could enter the balcony area.

" I don't want to talk about it " Jimin hangs his head low.

" Okay... but I just wanted to say- " Luna tried to finish her sentence but was cut off.

Jimin had quickly turned around and gave her a hug. He didn't realise what he had don't until he had his arms around her. He didn't want her sympathy but it's felt right to cuddle her.

" Please don't say anything, I know I broke your heart but it broke mine more so please... don't break it again " Jimins voice broke.

Luna pulled from the hug seeing Jimin with his head lowered. She didn't know why but she had a pain in her heart after hearing Jimins words. Luna could tell he was trying to hold on his tears.

Unknowingly she stood up on her tip toes and kissed his forehead placing each other's foreheads together. She took in a deep breath and looked into his eyes even though he still had shades on. She could tell that he was previously crying since the area around his eyes were a little red and puffy.

It was probably the reason why he had his shades on but she didn't bother to question him since they were having a serious conversation

" I need you- " Luna couldn't get the words out of her mouth.

" I need you to know that I wouldn't have broken up with you then even though I had to leave " She stood back turning around before she could get emotional.

Jimins heart accelerated after hearing Lunas first comment. It then started to slow down as she explained herself, slowly it started to break because he was realising how stupid he was. I should have never broken up with her.

" I'm sorry " Jimin mumbled loud enough for Luna to hear.
