That day, Priest Xingbai seemed different than usual - not that he was never not different. There was this kind of charm in his eyes, making others unable to look away. HIs eyes seemed deeper than usual, with some kind of indescribable depth. Bishop Nathan seemed surprised but in truth was excited at the same time. The boy looked eager...which was a good thing in his opinion.

"Xingbai, this will be the first time you are going to pray to the Father. Are you ready?" Bishop Nathan rubbed Liang Xingbai's head. This was the child he picked, of course he was relatively nervous.

"Yes Bishop!" Liang Xingbai smiled at the worried Bishop Nathan, "I can't wait to see the Father!"

THeGod of Light's heart blossomed as he heard his favourite priest say so. The little priest was so cute~! He quickly sat straight, as if trying to deliver an impressive aura Liang Xingbai's way. However, it turned lovable in the next second for a reason that wasn't to be expected from the God of Light.

The God of Light couldn't bear to crush the delicate boy with his aura. He would slowly refine the boy's body with light energy until they could talk to each other without restrictions. Only then would he be able to show his little priest his greatness. That was when he thought of a much easier way to refine the boy's body without needing to wait very long. The process of refining a body with light energy could take numerous light years after all.

Liang Xingbai was given a different robe to wear that day. they said that the first time a priest prayed would show his success in his career. If the God of Light blessed him with a lot of light energy, then Liang Xingbai's position would be unshaken...the position as the next Bishop of course.

Of course, this didn't count the demon's temptations. If Liang Xingbai fell for them, then there was nothing that could save him.

Liang Xingbai's hair was braided beautifully, little white and yellow flowers embedded into his platinum blonde hair. If people didn't know better, they would think that Liang Xingbai was a flower girl preparing for a marriage. Men in Fuxing had equally long hairs after all. Liang Xingbai's feminime features didn't quite help in this matter.

The ceremony started. Several servants walked down the hall first, bringing golden trays filled with pastries and fruits. It seemed that he misunderstood what the servants did yesterday. It seemed that they were picking fresh fruits and beautiful flowers for the God of Light, for this ceremony where he would be giving them to the God of Light. It made sense, after all, the God of Light was the highest existence in this world as of now.

But it didn't hide the fact that the First and Second Prince would be welcomed so lavishly. Thankfully his ceremony was more lavish - not that he wanted it to be lavish - in fear of offending the God of Light for disrespecting him. Liang Xingbai personally thought that the God of Light wouldn't easily hold grudges (like Marcus). Though the God of Light was actually disatisfied - unlike what Liang Xingbai had thought. Only, he was disatisfied for a reason completely unlike what Liang Xingbai's theory.

The foolish mortals didn't know that this priest was his favourite, he got that, after all, mortals could never understand him. However, the boy was so pure and innocent! Why were people looking at him with judging glances as if the didn't believe the boy could please him? Without praying, the boy had already pleased him with his interesting actions. It didn't make sense that those mortals didn't know of his specialty and doubted him.

In the heavens, several servants trembled as they saw the god of Light's disatisfied expression. As soon as darkness started to invade the land, the God of Light pulled the angel race (refer to Hypocritical church (4) for the races) into the heavens, thus the reason why the angel race suddenly disappeared from the mortal lands. However, not everyone knew of it as the transfer was gradually and not simultaneously. Only when the angel race completely disappeared did everyone started to panic. Their theories mostly consisted about the newly invading darkness, resulting in light energy's scarcity which slowly endangered the angel race until they disappeared completely.

The angels didn't know why the God of Light would allow the demons to prowl freely. Although they were arrogant, they dare not do as they liked in front of the God of Light in fear of their lives. Even if they had the blessing of healing, a wound from a God wouldn't be that simple to heal. Their blessing also came from their God, so if the God of Light's powers were weaker than his own blessings, it would never make any sense.

The angels thought to themselves. Why was the God of Light disatisfied? They had once incurred the wrath of the God adn was deprived for their wings, which made them special and different from the other races. The usual noble and arrogant angels lost their egoism and were forced into servitude under the God of Light's feet.

In actuality, the angel race just couldn't unfurl their wings, shackling them inside their body all the time. They had an ability to keep their wings inside their body and only let it out when they needed to fly, simply because of the particular reason : it would be very troublesome. Because their wings were shackled, their powers were greatly diminshed and were easily captured by a single god of Light. The angels that once soared the wings could never fly but only walk.

Right now, they didn't dare to speak. Even if it was only pressure from the God of Light, the angels falt agony, as if being smashed by a huge mountain. The pressure was so unbearable that some of the weaker angels had actually collapsed, a few even frothing from their mouths.

Meanwhile, in the mortal lands, a little Priest couldn't contend himself from running towards the Father's statue. Everyone could see that there was a slight skip in each of his steps. His eyes were brighter and Liang Xingbai even had a beautiful small smile on his face. No one could tell that there was something wrong with Liang Xingbai. After all, it was normal for priests to get agitated at the presence of the Father in Fu Xing. However, in truth, Liang Xingbai was not in a normal condition.

Earlier in his room, Liang Xingbai had the first mental world war. He was naturally an atheist in his past life, thus making him unable to place his belief on the god of Light, even if he had been inside this other world for three and three fourth years already. He couldn't bring himself to worship the God of Light, and he was sure there would be no way he would ever willingly submit to a form of deity.

Everytime he saw the god of Light's statue, he didn't knwow why people would worship a plain looking middle aged man, furthermore, they would say that such a plain statue was...majestic, glorious and the list could go on until all the good descriptive words were gone. To be honest, he couldn't stand seeing the statue for a long time.

In the end, he decided to do something. He stood in front of the mirror, looked into his own eyes and said to himself, "I love the God of Light," after a while, he looked harder into his own eyes and continued with, "I want to pray to him so badly."

Sentences after sentenced whirred out of his mouth, as if he was trying to convince himself. No servants were around his area as his room was so far away. They didn't notice this abmnormality, and even if they did, they didn't bother to find out more.

After a while, his eye became dull. When he finished his session, his blank eyes regained their clarity and sparkle as before, however, his temparament had greatly changed. It was completely different from the him just a few minutes ago. This 'Liang Xingbai' wore his ceremonial robe and walked out to the prayer hall.

Each of Liang Xingbai's steps were filled with joy and resoluteness. As he walked, the servants dropped some white rose petals, some servants also bowed as he made his journey to the statue. It seemed grander than a king's coronation and it was indeed grander than a king's coronation. A Priest of the God of Light would be a true God's servant and the King, who was just a false God's servant could never compare.

The Bishop stood at the side. He couldn't interfere this intimate moment between the Father and his new appointed Priest. He had a good feeling about today. Everyone was quite surprised looking at the joyous old man. It was indeed rare for an old Bishop like Bishop Nathan to be so...happy.

Liang Xingbai was reaching the altar. In front of the statue were red velvety cushions. Liang Xingbai stared at it before ordering the servants to take it away. At first, the servants were bewildered at the order. The cushion was there to cushion the priest's knees as the floor was hard. Liang Xingbai immediately demanded the servants to do so, and the servants did as they were told. They wanted to ask Liang Xingbai why, but the question was stuck in their throats.

Everyone was shocked to see the three years old kneeling down with nothing supporting his knees.
