Embarrasment -Ellie

Deans arms feel warm as they are wrapped around my shoulders. I have never realized how strong he felt when he is trying to be protective.

"You really didn't have to tell her" I say leaning my head on his shoulder.

"I know" he says sighing "but really it was Ian that told her."

"Doesn't matter" I say slapping him on the shoulder "you put the idea in his head."

"Ok fine" he said rubbing his shoulder "but don't have to keep hitting me."

"Ok, ok" I say playfully "just try to be sensitive, I don't need my best friends hating my boyfriend."

He put his arm back around my shoulders.

"I don't think that Riley and Ian hate me."

"Well that is because Ian is your best friend and Riley is his girlfriend." I say putting my head on his shoulder. I can hear his heartbeat, more like feel his heart beat, speed up as I get closer.

"I guess that is true." he says "but let's not think about that right now."

"Well what do you suggest we think about then?" I ask.

"I think we should worry about being the cutest couple in the camp." he said suddenly stopping.

I stumble a little not aware that we were stopping. He turns so we were facing.

"I think we should start by kissing in the rain." he said looking in my eyes.

"One problem" I say leaning closer "there's no rain"

"Does that matter?" he said leaning closer still.

Before I could proses what he said he pressed his lips to mine. It's not the first time we've kissed, but this one felt more real. Like I was more alive this time, like the other times I was only half awake. This time it was electric. I pull away just for a second.

"No" I say and we continue.

...

I hear a gagging noise behind me. I pull away from Dean and look behind me. Standing there pale faced and obviously sick, was Natalie. What is she doing here.

"Oh my god Natalie" I say rushing toward her "what happened?"

"I was mad, and got punched in the stomach" she said gasping looking for breath.

"Ok you can tell me what happened but we need to get you to the doctor." I say starting to lead her.

"No" she gasps "I can't I will be better in a minute, just got the wind knocked outta me I will be fine."

"I don't know" said Dean "you did throw up, it seems pretty bad."

"No it will be fine" she said a little bit of color coming back to her face."

"Then let's get to cabins and you can tell me what happened." I say putting her arm over my shoulder so that I can half carry her. To my surprise Dean got on her other side.

"No Riley is there, I can't she will be with her boyfriend." she said complaining.

"Good" I say "then you don't have to explain more than once."

...

The door to the cabins are slightly agar. We walk in and Riley is sitting on her bunk with her legs over the side, Ian was sitting on the other side. I lay Natalie on the bottom bunk beneath her.

"God Natalie" exclaimed Riley "what happened?"

"Ok I am just about to explain this so if you would just stop asking questions and interrupting me, you might get to know!" she said screaming a little in hysteria.

"Come off it" said Riley "i didn't know"

"She got punched and we are going to figure bout why right now." I say staring right into the soul of Natalie.

"I never though such a Smart person could so mean." Natalie says staring right into my soul.

"Come on" said Riley "now is not the time for your bantering, the first thing I want to know is who is the person who did this to you."

Natalie grows very red and looks quite embarrassed. Why would Natalie gets embarrassed. Natalie never gets nervous. I come to the sickening understanding that whatever the punch was about, it had something to do with the information that was shared in Riley's hospital room.

"Fine" she said the name on her lips "it was Joshua."
