It's been raining all day, and the constant pounding of raindrops on the roof can be heard all throughout the house. You are sitting in your armchair reading when all of a sudden something changes. It takes you a minute to figure out that the sound of the rain has abruptly stopped.
Frowning slightly, you get up and look out the window. The rain has totally stopped--it's not even drizzling slightly--and it's darker than it should be this time of day. You check your phone for any weather alerts, and seeing none, you go outside, curious about what's going on.
As you step off your front porch and look up at the sky, you gasp as you realize that the dark clouds above you are actually the underside of a massive aircraft of some sort that is hovering high above, spanning several blocks of your neighborhood.
What in the world? you wonder, squinting and trying to make out any details on the surface of the massive thing. Eventually, you notice something floating down from the bottom of the aircraft that looks like its going to land very near to your house, if not right on your front lawn...
