On Saturday, I decided it would be a good idea to have Maya over so we could catch up. The last time I saw her she was wine drunk and upset, and I was too tired and okay, I admit, a little too caught up in my ridiculously handsome boyfriend. Since Ryan has been at Mack's for most of the day, and is going to be there until one tomorrow morning, I figured today would be a good time for a girl day. Maya and I are blasting pop music, and dancing around the kitchen, baking some desert recipe she found on Pinterest. While I love hanging out with Maya, I also feel guilty that I haven't been hanging out with Josh either; he's always busy working out, or work- and being one of the top engineers in his company, I understand why. I shoot him a text to let him know he needs to give me a free day so we can hang out, then pocket my phone and hop onto the counter as Maya checks the desert.

"So, have you two screwed yet?" Maya asks nonchalantly and I fake gasp, before throwing a dish towel at her. She laughs before raising a brow, "Well?"

"No," I tug at a loose string on the sweater I'm wearing. It's not that I definitely don't want to, I just also don't want our relationship to be all about sex. I like how easy things are with Ryan, and I don't want to push anything; I want us to develop at a slow pace.

"You know who I bet is good in bed?" She muses, as she takes out the concoction from the oven.

"Ben?" I guess, making her giggle like a school girl; part of me wants to roll my eyes while the other half wants to giggle with her. "Did you get his number?"

Now it's her turn to grumble a no. I smirk, surreptitiously taking out my phone and sending Ben a text that I need him to come over. He says he'll be here in a minute, which I don't doubt since he lives right across the street. I debate telling my best friend this for fear she might 'accidentally' go over there once instead of here. "Did you two get a long well while you had your date on my couch?"

She grins, cutting a slice of the dessert for me and sliding it across the counter. "Oh yeah we did. We may have made out." She sings, and I squeal, officially becoming a school girl.

"What!" I exclaim, grinning as I lean toward her. "Tell me everything."

"We were talking, not too deep but not really shallow either." She shrugs, before a grin breaks out on her face.

"Did he ask you out?" I inquire, taking a bite of her dessert; it's some type of cookie brownie and it's so amazing I almost moan. "This is incredible,"

She grins, slicing a piece for herself. "No, I had to." She grumbles, taking a bite of her slice, and she actually does moan. I laugh, as someone knocks on the door; Maya raises a brow, as she chews. "You expecting someone? This was supposed to be a girl's day, Julie." She says this entire rant with a mouthful of food; I roll my eyes, knowing she'll change her tune once I open this door. I open it, revealing Ben, who looks extremely handsome and is grinning his boyish grin.

"Ladies," He greets as he steps inside and his eyes zero in on the pan. "That smells incredible." He comments, walking over to it, and my best friend who's almost gaping but trying not to. I stifle a laugh as I shut the door, making sure I'm composed before turning back around. I am so the best wingman.

I fake a yawn, as I gesture toward the back. "I'm really tired, I think I'll nap." I inform the two of them, but they're already lost in their own world. Ben is clearly smitten with her and I know Maya is highly attracted, so I quietly make my exit, leaving them to their chat. I shut the door to Ryan's room quietly, and crawl into his bed, smiling as his scent envelops me. If I can't sleep with him, his pillow will have to do.

"Jules," Someone's whispering my name, and I think the earth might be shaking. Is there an earthquake? Do I need to get in a doorway? I bolt upright, and am greeted by my best friend, whose pearly whites flash at me in the dark room. Smoothing out my hair, I look around, rubbing my tired eyes.
