"(Y/N)," Tony calls as you're leaving the living room to go to your room.
"Hey, Tony."
"We're going to dinner at six. Pepper will help you get ready. She's on her way to your room now."
"Oh...Okay. Where are we going?" You inquire.
"Gabriel Kreuther."
"Wow! That sounds really fancy."
"Yeah. But you should hurry. We leave in half an hour."

You enter your bedroom to find Pepper looking in your closet.
"Just as I thought," She mumbles to herself. You notice a few shopping bags setting on your bed.
"Pepper?"
"Oh! Hi, (Y/N). You scared me."
"Sorry. Is there something wrong with my wardrobe?"
"No, I was just looking for something you could wear tonight. You don't have the right dress, but that's okay. Tony bought you an outfit." Her face holds a smile that can only identify her as proud of her boyfriend who did something considerate.

You carefully lower yourself down the stairs. The gold stilettos you wear are higher than any you've ever worn before. Pepper curled half of your hair and put the other half in in a fishtail braid. Your eyelids hold gold and white eyeshadow, while your lips are caked in dark red lipstick. Pepper put more makeup on your face than all the makeup you've ever worn combined. You wear a white dress with gold laced on the skirt that goes to the middle of your thighs. Over the halter top straps on your shoulders, you wear a black fur coat that you would never pick out for yourself. You tried to leave it, but Pepper wouldn't let you go without it.

"Wow...You look amazing," Tony compliments at the base of the stairs.
"Thanks. Though I don't understand why I needed all of this." You refer to how extra the fur coat is.
"I thought you might enjoy it."
You grin, because, in a way, you do enjoyed being dressed up like this.

Tony walks around to the driver's side of the car. You try to push away disappointment when you think he'll be driving and focusing on the insane New York traffic. But your hint of sadness disappears when he opens the door in the back. You climb in at about the same moment that he does and see Happy in the drivers seat. He wears the same look of inconvenience as he normally does.
"Hi, Happy," You greet cheerfully. His eyes find you in the rear view mirror.
"Hi, (Y/N). You look nice."
"Thanks," You reply with a wide grin.

As soon as Happy starts toward the restaurant, you wiggle out of the fluffy fur coat.
"So, what's the occasion?" You question Tony.
"Huh?" He replies, confused.
"I mean, why are you taking me to such a fancy restaurant? It's not my birthday. We've already past New Years. What's the occasion?"
"There's no occasion. I just thought we should...do something together."
"And Gabriel Kreuther was the obvious choice?"
"Well, you've been living at the compound since...for about six months, and we barely see each other. Much less speak to each other. And it's kinda hard to get to know someone better in a movie theater." You nod, realizing his point.
