I woke up to realize that New York was the next exit. I started packing my bag and waited for the train to stop. The train stopped and I headed out . To be honest, New York was loud and obnoxious. But it felt nice and welcoming, in some areas. Some people would yell out to others who didn't give them what they wanted. This was my kinda place.
As I was walking towards Madison square garden as they called it. Most people would stare at me for no reason but I couldn't care less. I kept walking until I reached the middle . Everything was so beautiful. I turned and turned. There was so many advertisements. As I was in "awe" of the scenery, I felt someone's eyes on me. I ended up ignoring it and looking up. Then he came closer to me. I kept ignoring it. This guy just kept getting closer. I didn't know what to do. So I turned to face him and said...

"Hey ! What's your problem!"

"Wow wow. I don't mean any harm"

"Then what do you want!"

"To show you around...you look lost"

As I looked at him. I noticed that he seemed nice . I couldn't tell if he was bad or not. So I went with my gut. Which was, go with him 🤷‍♀️
I know it's bad to go with strangers but he looked like he was my age and plus if he does anything I'll kick his ass. So I told him.

"Alright... you can be my tour guide?"

"Sounds good, so what's your name?"

Everyone seems to ask me that question all the time. So I lie every single time some one ask.

"It's Jennifer"

"Cool, I'm Damien"

"Nice"

"So what do you want to see first"

"The Statue of Liberty?"

"We can do that. You know the Statue of Liberty has a history. So....."

This guys talks a lot. I try to nod and understand what the hell he's talking about. As we head to the Statue of Liberty , he talks and talks until we get there. This guy is annoying as hell. Why did I have to be stuck with him.
When we got in he stopped talking. Thank god. This thing was so huge. I smiled and looked up . I can't imagine being in this place for so long. After he showed me around , we ended up going outside.

"Did you enjoy the lovely scenery?"

"It was magnificent" I said sarcastically

"So there are other places I can take you"

"You know what.. I'm ok . I have to meet someone"
That was a lie

"Alright. Well bye Jennifer"
He then kissed my hand
"Until we meet again"

I felt disgusted so I pulled away
"Bye"

I then ran to wherever to make sure he isn't following. To my surprise I was safe and sound. I let out a sigh and walked away.
As I kept walking I found myself by a cliff that shows the whole city. It's beautiful up here .
I lay on the grass and look down. I'm glad that I found a place to chill when I need space.
