"YOU KILLED FREAKING KATNISS EVERDEEN! WHAT THE HECK! I OUGHT TO-"

"In an alternate universe, in a fan fiction, in which, it doesn't "FREAKING" exist!" He cuts me off.

That's how the phone call starts.

"James! Ugh! Gah, why?! Why did you have to be the one that kills her?! Yes, it was an alternate universe, but in that alternate universe, you killed her. You killed the Mockingjay. You killed the rebellion. Now, there will never be a rebellion, no assassination, and the Games will still go on! Just because you. Killed. Her. When you kill her, you kill it."  I explain.

"Yes, I know, but only in that universe. Only in that fanfic. I didn't kill her for realsies." He says.

"Just--meet me outside of Brelling's in ten." I say.

"Okay."

I slap him when he arrives.

"OW!" he says.

"Listen! The universe doesn't even exist. It's not that big of a deal!" he continues.

"I know, I just-I can't. I can't!" I start to walk away.

"Can't what?" he asks.

"I can't even-I just can't even, I am unable to even even. I can't even, you have rebuked me the right to even.  I can't." I throw my hands up in the air and walk away.

"So you can odd?" he teases.

"Shut up."

We go into Starbucks and he calms me down.

"What book do you want to go in right now?" he asks, looking up from his drink.

"I don't know. I don't think I want to Jump right now. Can you help me out at the shop? I'm busy today. We're having a bunch of shipments of new e-readers come in today, there's already a huge line for people to get one."

"I guess," he says.

I say thank you, and we head down to the store.

When we get to Brelling's, there's a huge line outside the door, I would say 100-125 people.

I unlock the doors so me and James can enter, and lock them back up. The store doesn't open today until noon.

James dusts off the shelves, I re-tape the geeky posters up(the tape hasn't been replaced in 3 weeks.), and then we unload all the new Kindles and Nooks.

We're charging $150 for Kindles and $100 for Nooks (they're the newest generation).

I check the clock.

11:56am.

I decide to unlock the doors early.

"Hello, welcome to Brelling's Brilliant Books!" Claire and I say to costumers as they enter.

I hear a bunch of chatter, but one noise stands out more than others. James' watch.

I see it out of the corner of my eye.

Someone bumped it, and now he's gone.

I almost immediately start getting texts:

J:  LYNN, I DON'T KNOW WHERE I AM.

James does something different.  Something I've never seen him do before.

J: HELP.

He cries for help.
