"Thanks for having dinner with us Skye." Chase's mother said from the far end of the table. It'd been a week since Chase and Skye had become official. Chase's family had invited her over for dinner. Gathered around the table were Chase's parents, Marshall's parents, Chase's aunt and uncle (Everest's parents) and the other three teenagers.
"Thank you for having me." Skye smiled, setting her cutlery down as she finished her plate.
"Ma, can me and Marshall go for a hack in a while?" Everest asked.
"Sure. Will you two go as well?" The auburn haired woman turned to her nephew and his girlfriend.
"I don't think so, I'm not really dressed for it." Skye looked down at her dress and across to Chase.
"I'm not really either," Chase agreed. "We went for a hack earlier so I think the horses'll be okay."
"I guess so." Chase's mother smiled. She stood up from the table and collected everyone's plates while the others dispersed, leaving Chase and Skye. The blonde let out a breath she felt she'd been holding for hours. Chase smiled and rested a hand on her leg.
"I told you they'd love you." He smiled. Skye looked up.
"They do?"
"You kidding? Ma's never taken to someone so well." Chase said, stroking her cheek fondly. Skye smiled and leaned her head onto Chase's hand. "You're too cute Skye." He chuckled. "I love you."
"I love you too."
"Too sweet." Marshall smirked, walking in from the kitchen. Chase shot him a look that told him not to get smart. "Sorry. Your ma wanted me to say that they're all going out into the city for the night and me and Ev will be back late so y'all got the place to yourselves."
"Thanks." Chase nodded before returning his attention back to his girlfriend. "Wanna watch some movies?"
"Sounds great." She smiled, standing up and walking to the living room hand in hand with Chase. The two sat down, Chase pulling a blanket over them and wrapping an arm around Skye as she snuggled into his side.
A few hours had passed and the sun had set when Skye yawned and slowly opened her eyes.
"When did I fall asleep?" She asked.
"Hmm, about twenty minutes into the Simpson's Movie." Chase said, going back to the nextflix menu.
"Oh." Skye sat up and stretched, her bones cracking, before laying in Chase's embrace again. "I'm bored." She said. "Not to sound rude but I dunno, I wanna do something."
"I know," Chase sat up a little. Skye shuffled back and then sat on his lap once he was comfortable. She rested her arms around his neck and he placed his hands on her waist. Chase pecked the blonde's lips and then peppered kisses on her neck. "Wanna go for a ride?" He asked.
"The horses are sleeping." Skye said. Chase chuckled a little and leaned closer so he was whispering in the girl's ear.
"Who said anything about horses?" Chase felt his own face heat up at his own words and could see Skye was blushing too. After she let the words sink into her head, the blonde smirked and stood up.
"Um, where are you going?" Chase asked. She still hadn't answered his question. Skye stood at the bottom of the stairs and had one hand on the banister. She smiled slightly.
"Well if we're going for a ride, I'll race you to the arena." She winked before racing up the stairs, Chase hot on her heels. As soon as the two were in Chase's room, Skye pounced on him, assaulting his lips with hers, removing Chase's shirt in the process.
"Well, this is hardly fair." Chase said, pulling away and looking down at Skye, who still wore her dress.
"Hey, I'm taking your clothes off, return the damn favour." Skye laughed. Chase leaned forward and kissed Skye again, eventually finding the zipper on the back of the dress. Skye placed a hand on his chest and stopped him for a second.
"You okay?" Chase asked.
"Yeah just, if we're... going for a ride... we're not going bareback." She gave Chase a look then glanced down quickly, hinting at what she meant. Soon enough, he caught on.
"Ah, one sec."
